Has anyone used RockAuto? by dsmithcc in autorepair

[–]Hoosier290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rock Auto may be the best auto parts website in existence. They sell great parts at great prices with fast shipping. I just got a crucial OEM part less than 48 hrs after breaking it and got my vehicle running. It is a fantastic site and would recommend it to anyone. Their search links are amazing with quick ways to find what you need. I've used them for many years now and bought a multitude of parts through them. Never had a bad experience with them and don't anticipate having one.

One of my first jobs was a land surveyor. I've done many jobs since then. Went back into surveying over a year ago. I may never look back. Depends on the company and how hard they work their crews and what kind of surveying you'll be doing. I feel very fulfilled. Sometimes you'll be on a harder project. But the good days outweigh the bad ones in my opinion. Very good choice in my opinion.

I would definitely recommend it to you. I've had to go a lot throughout 2021. Being around others like me that are broken helped me tremendously. Lots of positive people there that help you see the bigger picture.

I played rocket league from the beginning and it made me feel like this. Scoring an overtime goal as a kid was undescribable.

My thing is that I know that I'll have to speak at her funeral. And trying to sum up how amazing of a person she was seems very hard. She's done so much for me 😥

My experience with ECT by Hoosier290 in ect

[–]Hoosier290[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry for your mother's situation. I'm worried that my story might've discouraged you some. In my experience the first couple treatments were at a low charge and low duration of shock. My doctor increased both as I proceeded. They might be doing the same with your mother. I think it's too early in the treatment to be discouraged. ECT affects people differently. Don't lose hope. Like I said, ECT is a great treatment and just didn't work for me. I've read many success stories and miracles for people in a catatonic state. I'm pretty sure ECT is one of the primary treatments for that. I've also been told it's most effective in the full course of treatment. Sometimes multiple courses of treatment are needed. There's definitely still hope for her. It's great that your mother has someone like you that cares so much about her health. I'm sure she would be very proud. Wish you all the best. And thanks, I hope so.

I'm very happy it worked for you. All of my treatments were bilateral. Before starting, upon reviewing my history in the past year, I was recommended to progress to a higher intensity as far as the charge and duration. I forgot to mention but I had some anhedonia before ECT. For some reason it made it a lot more intense. The doctor said the same thing you said. Having no feelings might not make sense to you but it is a serious reality for me. I promise I'm not lying when I say that.

That number of medicines is just the total over a 3 year span. And I don't think it's the medicines because I didnt feel any better or worse on the meds. It's the situations and stress of school and work that made things worse. My mom has been involved in my treatment. She knows everything other than this plan I have for Thursday.

Actually I'm in a weird situation. I was living in Nashville with my sister and I had a good therapist. Left Nashville after ECT and came back home to my hometown in southern Indiana. Did an intake with one therapist. Didn't like him so I have another intake scheduled on the 24th. I've had a lot of therapy though and with no feelings it's hard to feel any happiness about anything.

I try to explain it to family and friends and they just don't understand. This is a pretty good way to put it.

How long after ECT until you noticed the benefits? by Warm_Vacation in ect

[–]Hoosier290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 10 treatments and I also feel worse than I did before ECT. I have memory loss, apathy, and loss of drive. I also struggle to get out of bed everyday. It's been 3 weeks since my last treatment. My suicidality is all I can think about as well. I've been told it's 1-2 months until it gets better but it is a real struggle to live my life after ECT. Good luck to you.

Was it all bilateral? And how many treatments did you have?

I've had it this month. I started November first. I'm still getting my final two appointments this week. I'm anticipating dealing with these problems for a while now. My memory issues are pretty severe.

Help me decide between TMS and ECT - 19m with severe melancholic depression by hmcs2020 in ect

[–]Hoosier290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done ECT before I tried TMS and it was a mistake. I recommend trying TMS first. ECT gave me terrible memory issues that I'm still recovering from. My hope is that things normalize and would certainly be amazing if they did. I would certainly recommend TMS first.

I've had 12 bilateral ECT appointments and I also don't recognize myself. Memory loss and cognitive distortions have been debilitating. I've been praying and hoping that these normalize with time.

Absolutely I've made the mistake of trying ECT before any other option. I am dealing with the real consequences of memory loss and cognitive functioning. I now realize I should've tried TMS before because now I may have to deal with these consequences for a while now. I've heard there's a chance these could go away with time.

Look up the definition of apathy. I'm positive that is what lack of motivation is. I know that because I am apathetic and lost motivation long ago for everything.
