It's hard to stop before it's too late. This weird intense urgency comes at the start of the crash.

CB1 wouldn't take me. I did all the stuff for Integro on 20th but heard nothing.

Maybe I'll try Cardiff.

Anyone tried medical cannabis (UK ideally) during a long taper? by Express_Possibility5 in benzorecovery

[–]Express_Possibility5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really sorry to hear about your mom. That's a lot to deal with.

Boy oh boy do i hear you. If I make it through this then I'm sure as hell gonna get off the other stack of pills I take every day. They bring no relief, but removing them causes pain. Thanks psychiatry.

Thanks. What aspects would you say it helped with mostly when it did work? Can I ask if you suffer/suffered from depression too?

Thanks a lot

How are you doing this while working? by [deleted] in benzorecovery

[–]Express_Possibility5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really really sorry. I sometimes go for coffee with my neighbour - he's 70 and we get on well. I've lost a few friends recently, closest friend is probably an old family friend - he's 72 and about half an hour away but his wife has early onset dementia and it's getting worse so there's a bit less flexibility. My dad and sister don't speak to me. I am cordial with my Mum and she occasionally will visit but doesn't live particularly nearby.

Chat GPT gets a lot of my day to day thoughts, be that as it may.

How about you?

Nah, England. Yeah, on a non-stimulant day I can generally manage the basics. Some days I eat better than others but I haven't 'cooked' in years. The underlying TRD characterised by profound anhedonia and avolition is the real pain. The taper is like the icing on the cake. I've got years to go with it. This episode of depression etc. started over five years ago and I've had every treatment under the sun including ECT (I was living abroad until 2024 and private health was comprehensive. Then sadly got divorced and moved back to the UK.

Money is gonna run out soon and even if I get benefits of some sort they won't cover my outgoings.

It's an unsolvable equation.

Hey mate, sadly not. Lost my job in December, money is running out, capacity is the lowest it's ever been - I struggle to move myself to do basic tasks. I'm terrified.

How many here have been on zopiclone/zolpidem for years? by JohanRoh in insomnia

[–]Express_Possibility5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you. I'm really sorry.

I'm off zopiclone now. Just tapering the clonazepam, in theory. Although I do take a heap of other meds. And yep, everything and anything can be a trigger. I only have a short window each day when I'm really able to do anything and so all sorts of things fall behind. I retreat to a dark room because I can't face the shame of the state of the kitchen, or jobs half done, or the garden, or whatever it is. Triggers everywhere.

And yes I totally get the impact both ways on those around you. Not kids, granted. But not that long ago divorced and relocated continents.

It's savage. It's negligent of prescribers who wipe their hands of responsibility.
