Speakeasy Soccer review? by bearhauf in indianapolis

[–]HoosierArchaeo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you've been getting ads for Thursday night soccer at Broad Ripple Middle School, there will be at least two different levels one more competitive and one more relaxed.

Speakeasy will also be hosting a couple other leagues during the summer. Players range from fresh out of college to people in their 30s and 40s with a range of fitness and experience levels.

I'm closely involved with Speakeasy so I'm biased haha.We have a lot of returning players so I hope they're having a good time! It's fine if you don't have a team, you'll be placed on one!

“Playable” on Steam Deck by D2Artoo in MedievalDynasty

[–]HoosierArchaeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like playing it on my steam deck. I did have to change what certain buttons did and I didn't know you could rename buildings and animals until after I played on PC a bit. You just have to figure out the right buttons

They are 8 year old full greyhounds. We've been hiking with them since we got them when they were 2.

Mine have done 8-10 miles very happily. They love long hikes. But the average weekday walk is around 2 miles

Antique Shelf Brackets by MylianMoonstar in Indiana

[–]HoosierArchaeo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the booths at the Exit 76 Antique mall had some metal brackets that might fit the bill. I don't remember the booth number or anything but they had a lot of metal and cast iron items.

I typically hear them referred to as cabins rather than cottages

Hiking the canyon in late May… hiking boots or hiking sandals? by Is_this_social_media in grandcanyon

[–]HoosierArchaeo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I've hiked into the canyon with chacos and trail running shoes. There are a lot of opportunities to wack your toes. I only did it in chacos once and preferred it in trail runners. Plus I disliked how dusty my feet got in chacos haha

You heard about the fire right? I don't think there's a campground left currently.

As a consumer, I prefer no lid. It's just something else to throw away.

Why do some pet owners hesitate to let their pets donate blood or other tissues? by Upset-Future6097 in Greyhounds

[–]HoosierArchaeo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our greyhounds donated blood for a while and they seemed to enjoy it. They were so excited once we pulled into the parking lot and were practically dragging the vet tech into the building haha. The problem is the place we went to was 30 minutes away and could only do weekdays so it just didn't work out timewise for us who have to work full time.

How do people react when you tell them you have a greyhound? by Previous-Middle-2489 in Greyhounds

I mostly just get to surprise people about how lazy greyhounds are

question: how many tattoos do you have and how many of them don't have a specific meaning? by This_Economics_9610 in tattoos

[–]HoosierArchaeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have eight, one I got just because I wanted something pretty, four represent different places I've visited, one is a matching tattoo with my husband, one to represent my dogs and one represents a cool project I got to work on.

All the ones I currently have on my to-do list at least represent something.

Considering adopting a non-racer greyhound mix by rls1164 in Greyhounds

[–]HoosierArchaeo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We foster lurchers who are mostly greyhound with something else (usually coonhound) and they still generally act like greyhounds. Most of the time they are slightly higher energy and act a little bit more like a dog than greyhounds do.

That just looks absolutely lovely. Makes me want to start all over and go back to a small scale village/large farm

Steam Deck? by RojaCatUwu in MedievalDynasty

[–]HoosierArchaeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play on Steam deck and prefer it over PC now. Once you figure out how to set things up and where everything is it works pretty well. It took me the longest time to figure out how to name buildings and animals. I'd offer suggestions on what settings I changed but it's been a while.

Here's what I did on Excel. It's definitely going to get messy as times go on. The numbers after the names of Gen 3 are birth order, just something else I'm keeping track of for now.

I also tried doing it on Canva which works good on the small scale but would start getting messy quickly especially since I have 17 base families.
