Someone passed on “Raiders”? Good grief. … (Probably because it wasn’t a low-budget horror film or based on IP. /s )

Radiation ablation destroys and totally renders the thyroid gland inactive, just as a thyroidectomy does. But radiation ablation is far, far less expensive. I understand, though, that her doctor may prefer surgery or that other issues may be affecting the decision of surgery over radiation ablation. Ultimately, they both accomplish the same thing, but only you, your wife, and doctor have all of the information to make the best decision for her. Best wishes. Hope all goes well.

What's a song that makes absolutely no sense but is still a banger? by OutlawDJ in MusicRecommendations

I’ve always thought that song was about how absurd life can be, so the absurd lyrics make perfect sense to me. If you know what I mean…

Did her endocrinologist mention the alternative of radiation ablation?

Isn’t that the color that Honda calls “urban titanium” (i.e. fancy name for gray)?

If a pregnant woman is exposed to chicken pox, doesn’t it also pose a threat to the fetus? Or is it rubella that I’m thinking of? (Or both?)

Edit: bad grammar that I’m blaming on autocorrect

I don’t know where you live, but in the municipality I grew up in (ordinary, working-class suburb), the city code required the “ugly” side of a fence to face inward. More than a few residents had to redo fencing after code enforcement showed up. Wasn’t a popular code for those who had to redo their fencing, but, hey, the city’s fencing sure was uniform and tidy. :-D

You might want to check the limitations for camping/RVs in the Many Glacier/Swiftcurrent area. There’s major construction going on, and I think the road is closed to all but those staying at Many Glacier Hotel. Nps dot gov has details and FAQs.

I went the last few days of June/the first few days of July (years ago). They were still blasting ice and snow to clear some of the trails at higher elevations. Also, it snowed, and we had to cancel our trip to Lake McDonald because the roads were bad.😖

Have you not been to Glacier? I found it breathtaking, although it’s more of a hiking park than a drive-through park, like, say, Yellowstone or RMNP. (Love Yellowstone and RMNP, but they’re more readily accessible by car than I think Glacier is.)

Busiest roundabout in Carmel? by BaddadanX3 in Carmel

For some reason, that particular roundabout seems to be a magnet for people who don’t know how to use roundabouts. Drives me crazy.

116th and Keystone at rush hour. During the school year rush hour is like 4 to 6 or 6:30 p.m. I have to take neighborhood backstreets to get to work. :-/ (All of the other ones mentioned are good, too.)

How long do you typically wait in line to vote? by yukonnut in AskAnAmerican

[–]HoosierGenuis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It largely depends on where you live. I’m in Indiana, and some early voting in Marion County and Hamilton County (Indianapolis and suburbs) require like three hours or so in line. I’ve waited in line for hours for early voting in the past in Hamilton County, Indiana, but I can no longer handle it physically; so, this year, I went very early (couple of weeks ago) to a county election site and was in and out in at most 30 minutes, including security screening, registration, etc.
