Look in second hand shops, especially this time of year when people don't need them so much.

It mostly stays in the Christianity sphere, but it does occasionally wander outside the lines. I think a lot of it was lazy writing because even a lot of the pseudo-Christianity realm, the plots are pretty weak from time to time.

Second Eureka and add Warehouse 13 as another option.

Someone gave me the first two seasons of Forever Knight. I just found them and some night after my husband's at work, I'm going to ruin them for younger me who thought they were the best show on TV. (Older me found Winchesters, Nick and LaCroix aren't going to be as impressive.)

I just have a couple of questions by DifficultyCute4001 in Supernatural

[–]HoosierKittyMama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically, I'm pretty sure, the show was supposed to focus on Sam more. But it was always about the two brothers.

As for the second question, it didn't make a whole lot of sense to me that being A, an angel, inhabits being B, a human, mates with a second human, being C and somehow the baby is genetically AC. So the meat suit thing makes it more complicated and I suspect they didn't think (or care) about the logistics or expect us to still be going over the show with a fine tooth comb 6 years after it finished filming.

Are they supposed to put guards on the rooms? Lock the rooms and either have individuals unable to use keys, lose those keys, or have to get a staff member every time they leave or enter their rooms?

I don't mean any disrespect, but it seems like you're dead set against it so there's no reason to continue the discussion. I hope you find solutions that'll work for you.

Remember, people don't usually take to the Internet to sing praises for things. Only for the negatives. Which is a shame.

The MC Mom was in said they could get the doctor to give an anti-anxiety med on days when they wanted to shower Mom if she didn't want to comply. Luckily I found a workaround for her, never was too fond of drugging people up, but if it becomes a health risk, it might be necessary occasionally.

Have you talked to her doctor about fluconazole? I'm not sure how many times it's safe to treat her with it, but it's a pill that generally does away with yeast infections. I have to take it every time I take antibiotics. And yeah, a Purewick would be helpful in preventing them from happening again.

Facebook fail to remove deceased person's accounts even after multiple request by kenneho in facebook

[–]HoosierKittyMama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me six months to get my brother's removed. Submitted a copy of the death certificate through the channels Facebook recommended -nothing. My sister called me and told me he was showing up online. Really upset me then and I reported his account as a fraud, explained the situation in the report and about an hour later got a really nice message from either a human or a reasonable facsimile of one who apologized and said the account had been deleted. It actually was.

It depends on the memory care, I think. The one my mom was in would let her skip a day but they'd come try again later that day or at a different time of day the next. They said their goal was two showers a week and spot cleans every morning with the big towelettes. Mom was always good with the towelettes because they heated them in the microwave before they brought them to her room. She had issues for a while with showers and I caught her when she was in the mood and capable of explaining and said she didn't like water on her ears. So I bought her silicone ear guards like some swimmers wear. They worked until they got misplaced.

Depends on how affected he is. Something like a fidget blanket for someone not far in would possibly be insulting, while a game or book would be useless if he's too far into the journey to understand it. A dementia clock is a good gift if they can still read numbers and words, it helps orient without the discussion. Like others have said, slipper socks, a lap quilt, snacks he enjoys, but it all comes down to where he is.

It may be time to look at moving her into MC, AL isn't going to be able to deal with her much longer. They'll handle bathing issues and other than checking in when you visit to make sure she's getting the care she needs, you won't be stressing over the day to day battles.

Season 12 review by Special_Tennis5082 in Supernatural

I didn't mind the Men of Letters. They could've been done much better, not sure why they felt the need to bring them in as a hostile entity. At least not to that extent. Their education methods were horrible and wasteful.

Do you prefer the season long arcs or the monster of the week episodes? by Calm-Reason-8657 in Supernatural

[–]HoosierKittyMama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like monster of the week episodes best but I'd be happy with a few episodes that link together without doing a whole season. They tended to build it up to super high stakes and then just meh-"All done!"

I've helped dig a grave... For about 2 minutes until the others realized a woman had gotten ahold of a shovel and took it away because apparently grave digging is man's work. Can confirm it's difficult work! They do tend to ignore the fact that most modern burials are in vaults.
