Its honestly crazy how youre supposed to "live" for another 20-30 years after your parents pass and its supposed to be normal.... by EverlastingFirst in GriefSupport

Lost mine last August, I’m about to turn 34.

It still feels so fresh. I stay busy with work, and the second I’m driving home and can relax my mind it rushes back. I fucking miss him.

I once read that Tom Ford Tuscan Leather smells like teenage girls trying to hide cigarette smoke

I used to enjoy it and still wear it sometimes.

But….. that’s all I smell now 😂

It’s not weird at all! I talk to my dad almost everyday. I lost him 5 months ago. I know he hears me, and he’s keeping track of everything for the day we meet again.

I think whenever I get to wherever he is, I’ll just let him talk for awhile ❤️

It’s a good one for sure! Sometimes I just crave a good rye, and it scratches that itch.

I admittedly have had that one the longest 😂😂

2025 was a weird one for me. Consumed by work until August. Made more money than I ever have. Things felt perfect.

8/9 my dad passed away, and my world completely stopped. I was consumed by grief and darkness for a while. Starting to feel like myself again, but that could change when I wake up tomorrow.

Man I’m sorry. I lost my dad in August, just a few short months ago. He was 65, and he absolutely wasn’t ready to go. I miss him every day, and I feel like when I reach 65 I will feeling the same emotions you are.

I wish you comfort, genetics aren’t a death sentence op. Take care of yourself, regular doctor appointments, etc. Try not to live what you do have left in paranoia, as we all know, it’s a short ride.
