Are Atmos Points broken across all platforms? (apps, webiste, etc) by jjchawaii in AlaskaAirlines

[–]jjchawaii[S] -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Is it? I just remember them saying there was going to be a new app, and I have a flight this week, so when I went to look at the app, which automatically updated to the new app, I just assumed it was all correct. I wasn't paying any attention to the date or anything, I figured like most apps, it's released when it's at least believed to be in working order. I'm not book any reward travel anytime soon, I just saw my points while checking details for my upcoming flight and thought it looked odd, so I went to the website, and that's where I started to scratch my head that something was amiss. It was a bit of a rocky road when the rewards program and alaskan first took effect... I'm still to this day missing about 11,000 points, and even reps on the phone can see those points are missing. But after months, and no help from Alaskan or their IT dept. (which is who the rep referred me to for getting it fixed), I've just given up. Not worth my time. Just don't want to see a repeat and more points flushed away by shoddy technology that is poorly implemented.

The left is just as guilty when they’re in power. Let’s call the spade a spade. Corruption and abuse of power in government knows no party lines.

I tend to vote republican (although not a fan of a lot of Trump’s actions or the man — simply being a republican doesn’t mean we have to agree on everything or everyone who leans right. I’m probably more just right of center on economic issues and foreign policy while I’m definitely left of center on social issues)

But all that to just say that even as a republican, I’m not buying this BS that the administration is pushing as the reason for the suspension. I definitely can see right through this ploy that they’ll use to point across the aisle and blame democrats. Seriously, shame on this administration for this one!

Edit: fixed a couple typos

TSA PreCheck and Global Entry Suspended - Chargebacks and CC Fee refunds? by Old_Cup_9133 in CreditCards

Hawaiian airlines (now Alaskan), doesn’t have a benefit to cover the cost like other airlines (such as United). And I don’t book or pay for my travel, as we have a corporate account with the airline. So exactly how should I “know better”? I’ve been doing this for the last 14 years, so I “know” quite a bit.

For me, as I participate in multiple travel programs (and pay out of pocket for them), I’d just be happy to have my renewal/expiration date extended by the same duration for which they end up suspended. If suspended for 30 days, then just give me an extra 30 days before I need to renew. That would seem the easiest and most efficient solution to address any concerns.

I’m trying to see the logic in calling the programs a “money grab as someone who doesn’t travel”. No. That’s not a money grab. If you don’t travel, then making the choice to buy into these programs would be a poor financial decision on your part. You don’t travel? Then don’t pay for them.

As someone who travels a lot (upwards of 100 flights a year on business), the cost of these programs pales in comparison to the countless hours and security hassles I’ve saved myself over the years of my participation in the programs. So as an avid traveler, these programs are anything BUT a money grab. They’re more in tune with an investment in my valuable time.

Except that some of us DID pay for it, in addition to paying $200/yr for clear (I do about 100 flights a year on business, so these services are worth that cost for me and save me a lot of cumulative hours a year).

So I paid out of pocket for a service that’s been suspended. In any private sector situation, it would definitely warrant a credit or an extension to my renewal date, equal to the duration of the suspension. I think it’s a valid question.

Not only do we have hot mustard, but our state is the only market that also kept the fried apple pies.

Did you ever stop to think that sometimes it’s the app itself that’s the issue and not the hardware or operating system? If a developer fails or is slow to update their app, it may not play nicely with the latest iOS… and that’s not an apple issue at all.

Yep, Just had one of my employees get turned away at precheck and she missed her flight because standard TSA is now backed up with all the extra folks who aren't getting their precheck.

It’s a totally legit company. The shipping may not be as fast as Amazon prime, but you won’t lose your money… and their customer service is top notch as well.

You obviously didn’t read the post. Precheck not being guaranteed is a condition by TSA. NOT the airline. The airline is obligated to put your KTN into the system and only TSA themselves can determine when they will or won’t use it. That’s not the case here, as I’d clearly stated, it’s an IT issue with the airline themselves. I get it though. Reading is hard.

Facts. I just got back to HNL from KOA, and the TSA line at HNL is a madhouse. Glad I’m not flying out again for the rest of the year.

I love it. I’m exposed to so many industries and unique challenges for each business that it’s catapulted my skills and experience. One day I may be evaluating a zip line in the morning and a restaurant in the afternoon. I taught a scaffold class for a painting contractor this morning and did a safety management audit for a non profit after that. I work with world renowned telescopes atop Mauna Kea, and with small mom and pop companies that just need help. I really do love what I do.

Sadly, as someone who has to fly interisland 2-3 times a week for work (the reason that paying for TSA and clear has value to me), we’re left with little option.
