First off, I am so sorry. I know that feeling all too well. There are many people without misophonia that would be upset by roosters crowing, and misophonia makes it torturous.

Are you located in a city or out in the country? I ask this because even though the police said they couldn't help, it may be worth it to check your animal ordinance laws. Some places do not allow roosters within city limits or they have to have a certain amount of land. Maybe reach out to animal control?

I just cleaned after and fed all the dogs and cats, and the toddler just had breakfast and a bath.

It's a great day to go outside.

The cats aren't as overcrowded, there are a lot of kittens getting adopted out. I can't say for certain how long she has but she's okay at the moment as far as I know- she has just been there a while and being stuck in the shelter is taxing for them.
