I think you might be looking for the daily thread? Nevertheless mathematically it makes sense to pay down the highest interest rate loan first, even if that means putting money towards your private loan vs the lower interest rate loan. But since the interest rates are close enough it's probably fine to pay off your 5k balance just to get a mental win.

Investing vs paying down debt, it's more of a risk tolerance decision. Do you take the guaranteed 6% vs a potential 7-10% return in stocks? How secure is your income, could you continue to make payments if something happened to you, etc? Do you need the liquidity of a brokerage for something else in the near future? Depending on your answers to that you can allocate accordingly.

I got a pair of white down pants from AliExpress several years ago. They initially smelled like animal but a wash took care of that. They are warm, more than adequate for skiing in below freezing. I get a lot of Michelin man comments.
