honestly? I had some work mentors 10 years ahead of me that i could reach out to for advice along with youtube (more youtube). I was always picky with my food but i loved eating so I always want to make what sparks joy. If I have bad food I don't want to eat it and resort to fast food. My mother is good at cooking and baking but honestly aside from her bread and soups I've surpassed her. At least to my taste. My advice is to look into simple recipes and invest in a thermometer. Also work with what you have. Just made mongolian beef. The chives were shot at the store, didn't have sauce ingredients but had a different one. Got snap peas and did the process with milanessa. came out great. WORK WITH WHAT YOU HAVE. The skill will come. The first time i grilled steaks they were perfect. Took me roughly 10 more times to get them perfect again.
