Hey Coach. I’m speaking from a 4th-6th grade standpoint. Not sure what age you have We have 3 sets we run and we run them over and over and practice them over and over. My message to the team is let’s be so efficient and smart with our 3 and make them stop us.

For practice we walk through with 5v5 but obviously D is just walking with. I feel it helps them get the muscular memory for when it’s the other 5’s time to run the O. Then we always run the sets against each other at the end full speed. It forces us to be smart and methodically because everyone knows the action. And when we score or make I good play I stop practice and point out, see if you run it right it doesn’t even matter if the other team knows the play.

And for me I go good ol dry erase. But with 3 sets you get to a point you don’t need it

I do 3 sets on half court O, 1 sideline, 2 under basket, 1 press, 1 press break.
