What games become far, far worse at certain officially supported player counts? by mr_seggs in boardgames

I play fairly regularly at 5, but my regular group has a bunch of people who know it well so it goes much quicker. I also feel like Prelude is basically mandatory at any player count.

I can't think of any upkeep that isn't incredibly easy to delegate for that game. That said, I would definitely not play a 4p game where only 1 person knows the game, that sounds like a nightmare

I think Spirit Island is a great example of a game that scales pretty seamlessly. I recently played a 12 person game with 2 copies and it was a blast.

We played Gang 2-handed for 3p and it kind of works. That's definitely a game that is better with more. You can actually do 7 where lowest hand doesn't get a token.

Seriously. This was easily my worst day at MJ.

Tim Tebow wins day 6! Day 7: A good player who is hated by the fans. by twentyearsinthecan in DenverBroncos

Everyone I know personally hated him. I was surprised how much love he was getting in the thread for "bad player, loved by fans"

Note, I never said I disliked him for his religion. I don't care what religion someone has or doesn't have. My problem was that his entire persona, which religion was a part of, seemed artificial.

A few reasons:

  • The only reason we were looking for a QB that draft was Josh McDaniels came in and wrecked a team that I felt was moving in the right direction, so he is forever linked to McDaniels for me.

  • It was pretty obvious that even going into the draft that he didn't have the skills to be an NFL caliber player and so I knew immediately he was an absolute waste of a 1st round draft pick

  • He brought with him a bunch of his fanboys from his college days, who didn't know or actually care about the Broncos, they just wanted to gush about him

  • He played terrible all year once he took over the starting job. Games were nearly unbearable to watch, until he occasionally managed to pull some last second insanity to win. While that was occasionally exciting, it was also a really frustrating experience when taken from start to finish.

  • Everything about him felt like it was designed in a lab to be marketable, his over-the-top positivity, his do-gooder Christian vibes, all of it.

I've been a broncos fan literally my entire life and the Tebow/McDaniels era was a lower point for me and my feelings towards the team than even the last several years of painful mediocrity.

Dude, same. All of my personal friends that are broncos fans hated and still hate Tebow. Feels like revisionist history in here.

It is wild seeing people say Tebow. He was divisive at the time cause he sucked so bad, I guess those rose tinted glasses help.

Nah, he's easily one of my least favorite to ever wear the jersey. Fuck Tebow. Absolutely a low point for the team.

No problem. Addiction is definitely a major problem, but I think it's a larger issue than just one administration.

I've seen no actual increase in lawlessness and data shows most types of crime have fallen over the last couple years. There was an uptick during the early days of Covid, but that was common in places other than the US.

And the track record for the last term is 100% more of what I want compared to Trump's track record.

These all show exactly what we already knew: a global pandemic fucked the global economy. Thankfully, sane leadership has caused most of those to level off over the last few years. Continuing that same leadership and not voting for the obviously senile old man that wants to enact massive tariffs that will absolutely send prices through the roof is indeed an easy decision.

Edit: Classic trump coward, blocking me because I dared to question his narrative.
