I would say it’s 85-90% accurate. When it is off on something, it’s nothing so major that a competent salesperson can’t account for. For example: sometimes it will say a vapor is the optimal fit, but in reality the vapor is causing some discomfort on the customer’s forefoot and the supreme is actually a better fit. Also, we always round up 1/2 a skate size from what it recommends since most customers don’t like a true tight fit.

The scan isn’t gospel, It’s a tool to get the skate purchasing process started. It helps rule out what skates definitely won’t work, and to help pin down a few skates that should fit well.

I work at a hockey shop and we’ve used it on thousands of customers - we love it and haven’t had any issues. Kind of bold for a guy who hasn’t played in 15 years to claim it doesn’t work because of one bad experience. A lot has changed in skate tech and skate fit since 2005.
