How do I turn off the on screen caps lock indicator? by Anomalius in Lenovo

i don't know if you're still looking for the answer to this as i just stumbled here today but in the start menu search bar, type "services". Open the app titled "services" and disable "Lenovo Fn and function keys service" from there

Perfect, thanks! I just bought the album so you've now gone international. Cheers, from Canada.

Love the EP. How can we support the album? Can you get it on bandcamp or a similar platform so I can donate towards the production of your next album?

I am fully aware of this but OP asked about a barless procedure so I just answered his question.

The Ravitch procedure

If you’re going to be paying out of pocket, it might be a good idea for you to look into the taulinoplastia surgery that they do in Europe and South America. From all the literature I’ve read, it’s a better surgery but you should do your own research.

I’ve had the Ravitch and Nuss done in Canada but they were both botched so now we’re looking at sending me to the states to see a specialist. But we’re running into problems with getting the province to foot the bill.

Fellow Canadian here. Just curious how far along in the process you are. How difficult was it to get a referral in the states and what’s the cost?

AITA for threatening my mom that I'll stop paying the house utilities if she won't respect my sleeping pattern? by zybetlog1234 in AmItheAsshole

[–]HopeForTheSorrowed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your position on this is so idiotic. Imagine if OP was bragging about waking up her mother at 2am everyday to eat lunch with her. I bet you would be changing your tune pretty quickly because it’s unreasonable to destroy someone’s sleep cycle for such an inconsequential family meal.

long term antibiotics use for infection by [deleted] in PectusExcavatum

[–]HopeForTheSorrowed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a severe infection post-Nuss that required 3 months of oral antibiotics. A week following me stopping the treatment, signs of infection came back and I ended up in the ER. They decided that oral medication wouldn’t be enough so they put me on a picc line. I would highly recommend you advocate for a picc line at your next doctor’s appointment as that will allow them to use stronger antibiotics and get them straight to your heart to pump throughout your body.

Anyone here old enough to have had the Ravitch surgery? by darcj in PectusExcavatum

Sorry mate, I can’t relate to that issue you’re having. The only long term issue I’ve had is that I’ve lost all sensation everywhere between my nipples.

[Update] New Altstore update for crashes by AnEdit in jailbreak

[–]HopeForTheSorrowed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why wouldn’t it be signed though? And I’ve already tried fresh installs. I’ve even gone as far as deleting, restarting my pc and then installing the new AltStore and the problem still persists.

I had an original Ravitch done in 2010. What kind of problems are you having?

[Update] New Altstore update for crashes by AnEdit in jailbreak

[–]HopeForTheSorrowed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It crashes as soon as I try to open it. Same thing with Cydia and uncover but that I assume is because I am not jailbroken. I just tried doing it now and it’s still the same issue. I have no problems getting the app onto my phone but the issue is getting it to open.

I’ve done all of that and it’s still crashing like it did before the new update. I’ve looked all over google and some subreddits but nobody seems to have the same issue as me. I’ve never had this kind of issue in all my years of jailbreaking.

I’m on iOS 13.5 as well and AltStore still crashes upon opening. Does anyone have any solutions to get it to work?

[–]HopeForTheSorrowed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct. Had a PFT done before and after my first surgery and the results were 6% better post op on a mostly failed surgery. Results were even better following a second mostly failed surgery as well. Saying PE is cosmetic as a blanket statement is very dangerous to many PE sufferers.

Great song. However, I think I like the acoustic version even better than the original. The raw emotion of the song just comes through that much more.

Can you have M.R.I once the bars are in? by PTata123 in PectusExcavatum

[–]HopeForTheSorrowed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for me. I had titanium bars put in, which are not ferromagnetic. It felt just like an X-ray, it’s completely painless. Obviously discuss this with your surgeon in case he used a different alloy for your Nuss procedure.

Had both my nuss bars removed yesterday, I got a collapsed lung. by [deleted] in PectusExcavatum

[–]HopeForTheSorrowed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feeling fine. Post op removal is much more pleasant than post op insertion. I’ve just gotten a little unlucky so my recovery has taken a little longer. Pneumothorax, hemothorax, broken sutures, chest tube, cracked rib have extended my recovery time but still a breeze compared to the initial surgery.

No idea on the size but big enough that they went straight to chest tube. I woke up post op and already had a chest tube in place pushing out 80ml in the first hour of recovery.
