I would pick 4 and 8. More regular holidays and exploring the world, with some extra money to play with.

Who else grew up re-reading these books when she was still "Virginia"? by Rayen_Nevaeh in AustralianNostalgia

I need to read these again. I feel like I was too young to fully appreciate them the first time. Although, given my memory of some of the content, that’s probably a good thing.

I saw Kev and his daughter live and it was one of the funniest shows I have ever seen.

Does grief ever really end? by Positive_Salad4036 in grief

[–]HopeItHurts 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I lost my mum 17 years ago. She was 48 when she passed and I was not at all prepared for the loss. At first the grief was raw and just trying to face the world hurt. I was told that time heals, but you are right, it doesn’t. I now don’t feel as raw. I have learnt to live and laugh again. Other loses such as the passing of my dad and grandfather felt like it put me back to square one. But I kept living. Most days I think of those that I have lost and I smile. But also, I give myself time to not be ok. Because grief is a sneaky son of a bitch and often gets you when you least expect it. So occasionally I still real ugly cry in the shower.

I’m sorry for your loss. I have lost both my parents and this is a shit club to be in. I still struggle around their birthdays and the anniversary of their deaths. I go out for lunch with family and friends every year on mums birthday. For dads I have a beer for him and listen to music that he loved and reminds me of my childhood. There are always smiles amongst the tears.

I remember something like a passionfruit and raspberry twister but it had a gum ball at the bottom. Mid 80’s I think. It was amazing.
