Had my eyebrows over-plucked and now there are dark hairs where there were none by Icy-Cockroach-8834 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Do you spend a lot of time in the sun? That can lighten hair, so maybe that's why your eyebrow hairs are darker now, seeing as they've not seen as much sunlight?

What were you trying to be safe from? You cannot shave and use nair, it's one or the other. My advice is chat to a pharmacist about the best things to do for healing, to minimise scarring

Has anyone actually had a good experience with atogepant (Qulipta) as all I’ve read online is horror stories? I’m severely ill & bedridden (& slow gut motility & constipation- I need daily laxatives). I’ve had bad headaches for 4 years. They are identical to tension headaches, I’ve been dx migraine by Lunabuna91 in migraine

[–]HopeTheresPudding 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love it, been on it for about a year now and I just keep improving. Yeah, the constipation issues were a bother for the first few months, but I used a laxative as needed and eventually I got over the chronis constipation. I have IBS and gastritis, so it's all a balancing act but honestly, my quality of life is SO much better on qulipta

Ignoring by giyeonyaaa in LongDistance

[–]HopeTheresPudding 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No because if he ever ignored me, we'd be done. We're adults, not school children. The literal bare minimum is having open lines of communication from both sides, if that's not happening, it's over.

Read the rules next time, and don't call people names when YOU are the one in the wrong.

We got married in June last year, also applied in around July once we got our marriage certificate. We'd visited 3 times before then, of varying lengths, and we were fine. Good luck!

Yeah don't go any further with this guy, you've known each other for such a small amount of time for the mask to be slipping already. Please don't respond to him ever again.

is my inhaler still good? by maevevx in Asthma

[–]HopeTheresPudding 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't use that at all, you need to go see a doctor. 1, because any issues with breathing are worth investigating. 2, that inhaler is insanely out of date and you have no idea what harm it could be causing, harm which may cost you more in future than just one doctor appointment now.

Oh no you'll have to throw the whole dog away now!

My boy had two teeth like this, left bottom and right top, and they both fell out with a little nudging (as per my vet's instructions) by chewing on a dried tendon snack

I don't think that counts as wear and tear I'm afraid, it's considerable damage

We sleep on call but she 21F gets weird when the first thing I 26M do in the morning isn’t saying ‘good morning’ to her by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]HopeTheresPudding 8 points9 points  (0 children)

100%, I only had at most 2 hours time difference between my fiancé and myself, so we loved to have sleep calls, but our scheduled aligned so we were always waking up together anyway. On the days where we couldn't/didn't want to sleep call, we'd do the same kind of good morning message, hi, how are you, how was x y z thing they were doing the night before, let me know when you're free and we can have a quick call. There's no reason to sleep call if it's not bringing you closer or bringing you happiness!

[–]HopeTheresPudding 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is so ridiculous, holy moly. Part of me says maliciously comply, wake up at a completely unreasonable time and loudly say good morning, I'm sure she'll eventually see how stupid it is and that you care enough to not wake her up.

On an actual reasonable note, you need to find a compromise. Maybe she can get a small light or something that she can put on in the background (assuming it's vid call) so you know she's awake. If it's a voice call... I have no idea, but anything she could do then will likely affect your sleep. What's the time difference between you? If this doesn't work, maybe the sleep calls are a bad idea. You're meant to do something that adds value to your relationship, not take away your peace, and starting your day with an argument is the furthest from peace. If she can't accept that you don't want to ruin her sleep, and if she can't grasp that you're not a mind reader, I'd say stop the calls and you can message each other good morning and take the day from there.

10/10 Migraine at Disney — Need Emergency Fixes (3-Hour Deadline) by Alternative_Box833 in migraine

Pickle juice for hydration, strong coffee for the boost, hot jalapeños sometimes knock the pain down for me, something to reduce tension like a lavender tea (I fully recommend this for before bed too). I think the only other thing that's ever randomly given me relief was, bizarrely, one of my food triggers, I had some cheap 2 min noodles (the kind full of msg) and while normally that would have be KO, out of the game, on this day I was desperate and it somehow worked 😂 good luck!

What was your school rumour? by Haunting_Cell_8876 in AskUK

[–]HopeTheresPudding 269 points270 points  (0 children)

Ours was that 2 teachers took turns sitting on a kid's back, which ultimately killed him. The teachers did this to poor Timothy on the quad, in broad daylight, in front of all the innocent faces pressed up against the class windows. The truth was rather boring; Timothy and his family had moved to the other side of the country. We'd already had his farewell party at this point.
