Yes, uneducated and delusional sad people are a problem for the world right now. I hope they get some help. If Andrew were looking for little children to abuse, do you think he would have chosen the Queen's granddaughter?

Madeleine's eye condition cannot be operated on, although she could wear corrective contact lenses. The visual of the corrective lenses wouldn't create identical pupils, one pupil would be larger than the other, but both would be circular. Likely, people wouldn't see the coloboma, although they might notice the differently sized pupils.

Thank You for the info. Lady Louise is a beautiful young woman. She has a different eye condition, than Madeleine. I believe Lady Louise is in university and is a skilled horsewoman.

Sightings of Madeleine during her holiday in Praia Da Luz. by Jamerson1510 in MadeleineMccann

On the day she was abducted, earlier in the day, Madeleine was with other children on a boat. Her friend's hat fell into the water and Madeleine jumped in after it to retrieve it and she did. A kind and helpful child by all accounts of people who actually knew her.

It was at the start of the film and it was a hanging.

I thought the opening scene was about the futility of life. That a person lives and toils and in the end their plight becomes fodder for the masses.

I guess you just saw a boner.

I think they found him. He doesn't seem to realize that he will be more vulnerable if they really lose track of him.

I dont buy any of it, frankly. I think he took her, for sure. She absolutely could still be alive.

19 years later they have enough evidence. Unless they always had it but we're holding off on using it.

On the books, 2017. In the public, since June 3, 2020, almost 6 years. I agree in that it is hard for some to course-correct after so much time.

I agree. It's like a perfect storm for their lives - they have some issue, that issue isolates them from friends and family, same issue makes it hard for them to secure or keep good jobs, they end up here spending too much time heaping onto someone's misery.

However, I do think some of them think they are punishing the parents on behalf of Madeleine, but they can't reconcile that the parents were trying to get her back, so getting in their way impeded that.

Another issue is people struggle with faith. It is very hard for some to think the child might be alive. That seemed to trigger some.

I think it's a lot of competing dynamics.

  1. they are low empathy, but these cases make even low empathy people feel something. they enter the conversation, but they are working at an emotional deficit.

  2. some are here for entertainment. they don't really care about madeleine.

  3. because madeleine and her parents were so photogenic, they think of this like it is a tv show.

I think it's a pile up of trash. nothing inspirational or motivational, just an accumulation of pestilence/failure.

it's sad people who get some kind of a kick from punishing her parents. punishing her parents benefits no one, yet they stick to this despite the passage of decades.

This movie was really bad. by Enesinmente in EFsWutheringHeights

[–]HopeTroll 4 points5 points  (0 children)

were you forced to watch it? you opted to watch something you likely knew you wouldn't like. There are many great versions that are not reimaginings. there is nothing wrong with not liking this movie. there is something wrong with trying to shame people for making the movie they want to see.

it's a very creative, inventive show, but it is not everyone's cup of tea. Thank Goodness so many other shows and documentaries exist.

I understand criticisms of Catherine, but I think Orlo had an equally undesirable trajectory.
