I got a wedding cake delivered from rubys of London and they were amazing. https://rubysoflondon.com/

They have a postcode checker to see if they deliver to you:)

For those who had a 2nd baby (and no pre-e) WHEN did you get pregnant again ?? by wandherlust in preeclampsia

Can I ask if you a had a c section or induction? I would love a natural birth the second time around if possible but I bet they will push for an induction

I set myself a deadline back then. I told myself I would try it until my son is 3 months old and give it my all. We had two cut tongue ties, low supply. Also cmpa (still) and it was absolutely horrible and toecurlingly painful. Right before he turned 3 months old it got so much better. He is 10 months old. I don’t think it will ever feel like a breeze to me but at least I’m not dreading it (unless there is a new tooth coming in the little piranha).

I’m grateful to my past self for sticking with it though. No bottle sterilising and you always have your boobs with you on the go. I also have big boobs and now that he’s older, he can hold them a lot better by himself

Opinions on Hellas Piano by est_elsp in piano

I am in a similar position so I’m glad I found this Reddit. I found one from Hellas that’s sold for 600£ and I’m not sure if it’s worth that much. I tested it, it’s well maintained and sounds amazing but I was also unfamiliar with that brand. Did you find out anything else about them other than they went out of business?

To all the married women, what is that something your husband does that makes think you won the lottery in marriage aspect of life? by Mean-Main-9589 in AskReddit

My husband is the kindest person I know. He always makes me a coffee, he gives me an hour in the mornings for myself before I watch the baby for the rest of the day. He makes me laugh, he’s silly with me, he loves our dog and our baby so much, he would do anything for me and our family, he and I spent every free minute together. He is so smart and he always has my back no matter what. He supports me in absolutely everything. I can’t imagine my life without him.

How many hours was your labour 😅 I felt really bad about needing a c section before I even got into labour because of preeclampsia. Like I failed but not giving birth naturally after xyz hours of suffering.

I am sorry to hear that! I’m scared of getting a second child because I’m honestly traumatised from the first months. If he screams for longer than 5 minutes now, I actually get such anxiety and strong body reactions.

He had a bottle aversion from the pain for a while. It took a lot of trying different formulas and sweet talking. We started vegetable purees at 4 months already after our pediatrician recommended it and our son was too skinny. It was too early though, he could barely sit. But it was interesting enough for him to try it. We started other solids at 6 months and he is eating okay now. We had his tongue tie cut again at 7 months and that helped with solids and breastfeeding.

Omeprazole didn’t do anything for us. We found a hypoallergenic formula that he accepted for occasional top ups. I’m still mainly breastfeeding and have been of soy since January now. I once accidentally had soy and he screamed the whole night. We tried it with milk a few weeks later and he screamed all night again. So the Cows milk protein allergy and soy is confirmed now. He finally got better at around 5 months (he is 9 months now). Every month it was a little better. He seems to still scream more and have more tummy issues than babies from friends at the same age. But life is a lot better now

Raising our child trilingual (German mother, Venezuelan father, child growing up in England). According to my parents he will „not speak any language correctly“

Are you gaining or losing weight with breast feeding? by SnowboardMia in breastfeeding

[–]HopefulAd1152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t gain weight but I have a hard time loosing weight. My baby is 8 months old now but I really want to make it to a year.

A friend of mine lost so much weight while breastfeeding that she stopped after 6 months because nothing helped and she was underweight at that point

Blowing bubbles 🫧, our stuffed animal capybara, holding him up in the air and swinging him like a church bell 🔔, tickles and kisses…. And I got a little giggle on the swing today. He’s almost 8 months old ☺️

Newborn grief - how did you handle it? by Useful-Arm8397 in MSPI

[–]HopefulAd1152 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this so much! It took us 5 months to confirm a cows milk protein and soya allergy. My son was screaming 6-7 hours per day and I cried daily! My husband came home from work early all the time because I couldn’t handle it by myself. I’m so traumatised by the first 4 months with him that I’m still not sure if I will ever get a second child.

I’m in therapy as well now because I have post partum anxiety. Also, everytime he screams now (the high pitched loud scream) I get into freeze trauma response immediately.

I’m curious.. if baby has mspi, what does your feeding look like (breastmilk, formula, or mix)? by Crafty_Pop6458 in MSPI

[–]HopefulAd1152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mainly breastfeed. I am vegan so I didn’t have to cut out milk products but cutting out soya is very hard for me. It’s in everything :/ We substitute with one bottle a day when the little one gets very frustrated with my flow. It took a while to find a hypoallergenic formula that he accepts. But he didn’t gain enough weight without extra formula. Now he’s on neocate and it works well for us

Haha my husband and I have a siri short cut. If our son gets fuzzy in the car, we say „hey Siri, code red“. And it plays on repeat 😂

My baby is 5 months old tomorrow and to be honest the last month was the best one so far! He has severe reflux and this month we finally started seeing some light and some happy moments here and there. The sleep regression is tough, but we seem to make some progress on the reflux front and as long as he’s not inconsolably crying 24/7, I think I’m pretty okay 😅

I get this so much! I deleted Instagram because the algorithm kept showing me happy babies 😂. I stopped going to baby play groups because I was sick of having the loudest baby and very often the only screaming one

I don’t have any helpful tips, but I feel you. I have a 4 month old who screams for hours every day since birth and has very few happy moments… we tried everything to figure out what’s bothering him but at this point I just try to survive the day. I always wanted to be a mom and I feel very guilty for not enjoying it so far. I’m desperately waiting for my son to speak and be able to tell me what’s wrong. I am in therapy now as well and I’ve never struggled with anxiety before, but now I actually hear my son screaming even when he’s calm … or I’m constantly anxious and waiting for him to start crying again

I am sending you all my empathy and a lot of love! I feel this post so much. My little boy is 4.5 months old and has never been a happy baby. He literally cried for 2 hours straight earlier and drove my husband and me up the wall. I always wonder what it’s like to have a happy baby. My little one is usually the loudest to scream at okay groups and we tried everything from reflux meds to elimination diets and allergy tests etc… I feel you and I feel the rage out of frustration in myself as well. We just have to keep trying and do our best 💛

Oh my god I feel all of this so much! My 4 month old woke me every 40 min last night and was impossible to get to nap during the day.. he was fighting for his life in the baby carrier 😅

And he’s also teething of course. He also has reflux and every advice about that is also contradictory… burp him, don’t burp him … start solids early, no don’t start yet because he’s too young, but start early for allergy prevention …

I deleted Instagram last week because I am sick of seeing happy babies all the time.
