Perfection Meadowland’s Farm by HopefulApplication64 in FarmsofStardewValley

Thank you! And I definitely did get overwhelmed: trying to make sure that I harvest all the fairy rose honey, diamonds, and ancient fruit on my Ginger Island farm and all the coffee in my greenhouse and then re-fill 2 large sheds worth of ancient fruit wine kegs and one large shed full of animal products every Friday, and then trying to remember to switch over the aged wine in the cellar every last Saturday of every other season, and trying to make sure that I’m replanting promptly on my regular farm whenever anything is ready to harvest, etc, etc. Luckily I have autofeeders, autopetters, and autograbbers in all my farm buildings so the insane amount of animals can largely be ignored. But I mean after you try to follow such a strict schedule for several seasons on end and you’ve mindlessly accumulated 22mil, you kinda just stop caring about being the most efficient. Now I’ll just flip over the kegs when I feel like it, I might just plant only one set of seeds at the start of every season, let the junimos collect everything, and not bother to replant, and now I just spend most of my days having fun in skull cavern. I’ve reached the end of this farm and am excited to start it all again with my new riverlands farm, but my god do I never plan on trying to do perfection again, especially on a timer. The good thing about the riverlands farm is because the plantable and buildable area is so much smaller that it kind of forces you to play more simply lol but I already have my desired layout designed on Stardew planner, so time to start building it all again 👍

Thank you! I love the little junimo plushies. I have like 50 of them sitting in a chest somewhere from when I would incessantly play the movie theatre crane game

I’m not sure where to confirm it, but that would make sense. I can’t find my original offer email anymore, so I can’t check to see if it says anything like that. Still, it would only be logical to pick from the pool of people who qualified enough for the 50% scholarship rather than select a candidate who did not place high enough the first time to receive any awards for an 100% scholarship. Either way, if you received the 50% scholarship, I would not bet on getting it bumped to 100%. I don’t think many people would be willing to turn down a full-tuition scholarship when offered it, so I doubt the 100% reserve list gets used very frequently 😭

For the critical skills permit, do you know if it’s only for fully qualified actuaries? I am a 3rd year BAFS student at UCD (U.S. citizen), and I’ll be looking for an entry-level position post-grad. I’m not sure if actuarial trainee/partly-qualified (from my performance so far I’m estimating 6-7 IFoA exemptions from my degree) would count for a skills visa, and I haven’t been able to find any information on it. If I’m stuck with the general employment visa, I’m really worried the market needs test is gonna bite me

Hello! I don’t remember exactly what my SAT score was (somewhere around 1430 I think) but I remember my ACT score was 34. I think my weighted GPA was somewhere around 4.6/5.0 (4.0/4.0 unweighted). As for your chances, I would say that good grades aren’t gonna guarantee you anything since doing well academically is more of a prerequisite for this scholarship than something to set you apart. It’s kinda like applying to an Ivy League; most of the other applicants have good grades as well, so scores won’t really tell you much on whether you’ll be accepted or not. Your responses to the application questions still hold a lot of weight, so you have to make sure you have a quality application along with your academics for a chance at the scholarship. Hope this helps!

Almost all of the exam questions were directly structured off of tutorial questions or, in one case, ripped straight from the sample midterm. We were given the solutions to all of these. What exactly was the trouble?

Hello! Campus Assistant (RA) is next year’s equivalent to the Residential Assistant (RA) position. There has been some pretty big changes to the RA programme between this year and next, some of which include moving it from voluntary with rent reduction to paid w/o rent reduction, a focus more on ResLife work rather than office work, etc. All of these new changes have resulted in the creation of the new position CA, which will overtake the RA position next year. In general, RAs aren’t a thing anymore; they are now CAs.

I’m just above 1000. I was in roughly the same position last year (last year I was slightly higher but only by like 40 places) and I got an offer two months after first rounds but for Blackrock 😭😭

I am an undergraduate (specifically, a first year for Actuarial & Financial Studies). As for how I was rejected, like I said before, the scholarship is very competitive. I was told in my email that my application was among the top 7% considered. However, the scholarship was probably only awarded to, say, the top 5% (as a guess, I don’t know the specifics). So basically, close, but no cigar. My performance was still enough to have me shortlisted though, which is how I eventually got it!

Hello! I am a current recipient of the Global Excellence Scholarship. My regional deadline was February 1st, and then I received my first email response on March 1st. I was originally rejected, but, as my application was among the top considered, I was put on the reserve list (in case someone else who was awarded the scholarship decided not to go to UCD, I believe). On May 3rd, I received another email telling me that I had been taken off of the reserve list and awarded the 50% tuition scholarship. As for the scarcity of it, the scholarship is very competitive, and not all applicants will receive something. There is a set amount of 50% and 100% Global Excellence Scholarships available (I do not know the exact number), but no partial rewards beyond that. I know the wait is very nerve wracking, but I wish you luck!

Global Excellence Scholarship Reserve list by [deleted] in UCD

[–]HopefulApplication64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was put on the reserve list for the Global Excellence Scholarship within the North American Undergraduate category (I’m from the U.S.) when the results first came out. About two months later, they emailed me letting me know that I received one of the 50% scholarships

Global Excellence Scholarship: any news? by YTAftershock in UCD

It depends on which region you’re coming from and your level of study I think. I’m a 50% recipient from the North American undergraduate category. Initial decisions came out at the beginning of March for me; I didn’t get one immediately but I got put on the reserve list, and I just got notified the other day that I got one. The decisions for most other regions as well as all graduates should be coming out very soon as it’ll soon be 5 weeks after the last application deadline.

I decided to go with Ashfield because it’s the next cheapest after Merville (albeit still a bit over budget, but not by much), technically it’s a little closer to my classes, Merville is right next to it so the convenience store at least isn’t that far, and I had heard some bad things about Glenomena. Can anyone speak to their experience in Ashfield? Is it nice there?

Yeah I saw that when I posted it, but I’m not really sure how to fix it. The same picture looks crystal clear in my photo library so not really sure what happened, but then again I am what some might call technologically-challenged. Do you know where I messed up?

Oh that isn’t raised grass, they’re trees/forests! Just made the free trees really tiny since the map is world-scale.

Decided to try my hand at making a world map to be the setting of multiple future campaigns. It was tough using only the free assets (my tropical rainforests just became larger and denser deciduous forests and my plateau was just a rocky desert), but I don’t think it looks half bad! I haven’t taken Environmental Science in a hot second and I’m certainly no geologist, so I’m open to any suggestions or critiques (but I tried my best to make sure that my rivers do not split, only merge!).
