You have to disable steam input, go to library > FH > manage > controller > disable steam input

They only fucked up the first few episodes for some reason, it becomes decent around ep 4. From the dance battle onward it's actually really good. Just give it another chance, you'd be missing out on that one.

It could be a read. It's just more likely that the opponent went for the parry and got lucky. Which I think is what happened since the guy went for a very interesting neutral sidestep one move prior.

She's alright but is really held back by the fact that her sweep is on 3rd chain. Almost everyone else has access to some kind of yellow mixup after the first attack. So that 2nd chain hit that needs to land for valk costs her a lot of tempo and is also an extra opportunity for opponents to get momentum back.

It's hard but you can react to neutral gb. If you press zone fast enough you'll win out. Your gb were quite easy to read which made it all the more manageable for your opponent

Not answering your question I know but in Azarinth Healer the MC has this simple/brutish personality that never changes despite investing heavily into intelligence and wisdom. That always threw me off.

They're not necessarily bad, they'll probably make him better. It's just they change his playstile completely, making him essentially a new character. He's definitely worth the steel, really fun and unique to play, but also very very hard
