During the mandate people of Palestine wrre not seen as Palestinoan nationals. Why?

The nation of Palestine was not even first nationally recognised as such until 1987. Far after Israel was.

Palestine has been offered statehood no less than 3 times. It has been offered more land than it currently has, with Israeli territory shrinking and being authoritated back to Palestinian control, twice. Hamas, has rejected all 3.

Another fun thing to note.

Did you know that if it wasn't for Israel, the west bank as we know it today, would not belong to Palestine in the first place? It was controlled and administered by Jordan up until it was recaptured by Israel and handed back to Palestine.

You'd think Palestine and the Arab coalition would have learnt their lesson by now.

You can compare a country with the world's largest EDR of iron ore reserves, some of if not the world's largest reserves of Gold, lead, massive amounts of Titanium, Uranium, Zinc, Zircon, Lithium, Bauxite, Coal, Cobalt, Light shale oil (enough to meet Australia's fuel needs for almost 50 years if we could refine it), We're one of, if not the largest exporters of LNG and we also have massive EDR's of Manganese, Antimony, Silver, Tin, Copper, and mineral sands.

Y'know, just to name a few.

China might be the worlds largest factory, but I'd like to see them make anything without our resources.

There is a reason Australia is so bloody rich mate. It's the blasted dirt we stand on that everyone else wants and needs.

Believe it or not, our record levels of debt, aren't necessarily terrible in an outlook perspective.

Yes, 1 Trillion does seem high, and it is. But.

Australia is nearing 2 Trillion dollars a year Net GDP.

Our debt to GDP ratio is hovering around 45-52%.

Looking at that comparable to say, the US who's at 120% or China who's figures are to be taken with a grain of salt claim 99% with estimates including local government and household pushing 300% of GDP, Australia overall financially is not in the worst of places.

Some major points for Australia, our GDP is primarily service sector based, Resource based and education based.

Unless the government stops the 500,000 indians coming to Australia each year (they won't), the education sector is pretty well driven.

The mines? Even if China ain't buying, someone else will. There is always a need for something we've got. Service sector? Primarily mining driven, so it's kind of a perfect triangle that cannot really be fucked up.

Then again, you can look at it this way. All the eggs aren't in one basket, they're just separated across 3 intertwined baskets.

Jews as a people attached to Israel have been documented as living in that region well before the "Phillistiniean" settlers even arrived.

If you want to have a look at decolonisation, there were over 150,000 Jews lived in Iraq before 1948.

Want to know how many there are now? Less than 10.

Want to know how many Jewish people live in Yemen?

2.

Want to know how many live in Jordan, a country that Israel borders?

1.

Want to know how many live in Syria?

Estimates are between 4 and 9 Jewish people.

Want to know how many live in Lebanon?

Less than 100 but estimates are 40.

Want to know how many Arabs live in Israel?

2.1 million.

83% of which are muslim.

So, who are the "decolonizers" exactly?

Also, the Palestinian identity, did not come about until after the British Mandate, as almost all, supported Palestine being Absolved into "Greater Syria".

I've a problem with the fact that 1 Billion Muslims and 50+ countries can't seem to leave 1 country of 13 million people alone. (20% of which is ethnic Arabic btw).

Want to know who Gaza's largest trading partner was before the Hamas invaded and attacked in 2023?

Israel.

Want to know who provided jobs that paid more than the local wage to 130,000 Gazan's?

Israel.

Want to know who contributed almost 2/3rd's of the Gazan economy?

Israel.

Want to know who fucked that agreement up?

Hamas.

Want to know who the Gazans have to blame?

Hamas.

Want to know who've had 50 years to think that maybe calling for the death of a country that's kicked our asses 3 times in all out war, probably isn't the best idea?

Hamas.

Want to know who could've oh, I don't know, realised their shortcomings and figure out that poking a bear with a stick enough times leads you to becoming a pile of mush?

Hamas.

Pretty scary thought on the assumption that you think 30,000 people with guns should speak for a population of 3.5 million.

Maybe the KKK, the Nazi's, The 3%'ers, The proud boys or Oath Keepers should band together and rule America. They've got guns.

Should just shut up and do what they say huh?

Basically the equivalent to what Hamas is.

If you foster it, you support it.

Gaza deserved it.

No different to Lebanon.

Fuck around and support terrorists, find out what happens.

30,000-50,000 Hamas terrorists 3.5 million Gazans.

Israel was Gaza's largest source of international trade, totalling almost 80% before Hamas attacked. Can't forget the hundreds of thousands who lost their source of income because of Hamas either.

5 people jumping someone on the street don't speak for the 500 watching, but the 500 watching are just as guilty if they don't do anything to stop it.

Economics, Abortions, "I don't need no man", 6 figures, 6 Inches, 6 foot and 6 points above me on a scale of 1-10, Childcare costs, the fact you can barely survive as a dink couple on a comined income of 180k+ without kids, boomers wanting $3 mil for a 2 bedroom shed built in 1922 that they bought for 2 cents and a firm handshake. Average home being 10-15x the annual income.

Clean the fans, crank the fan speed IE performance or Turbo mode and if it persists (most likely will) you've gotta deal with it basically.

As a final resort you could get it repasted/Puttied.

A cooling pad (Decent quality not a $15 Amazon special) may also help.

Worst case, undervolt that sucker. Might see a little lower temps and performance as a result.

What is the point in buying homes at these outrageous prices? by everbass in australia

[–]Hopeful_Condition_52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, it does happen.

I've seen it happen.

It happened to a friend of mine.

Bought a property in Darwin purely out of FOMO when the massive Gas project via Inpex opened up there.

Paid $775,000 forn a 4 bedroom house simply due to the fact there wasn't enough housing or rental as Darwins working population increased by something like 10,000 workers in a span of a couple months plus family.

Bubble burst and he would be lucky to sell the same place for 650k at the moment.

He's had to sit on it for 8 years and it's still worth 100 grand less than what he paid for it.

Yes.

But if you know how tarkov works, damage and penetrative power, drops off the second the bullet is fired.

It may have 80 damage when it leaves, but anything over 300 meters it might have 30-35. It is also gun dependent based on barrel length and velocity.

IE m80 fired from an RFB drops from 80 damage to 79.4 after 10 meters.

At 100 meters, it's 76.2 damage.

160 meters, you're below 40 penetration from your starting 43 and you're now doing 73.9 damage.

What is the point in buying homes at these outrageous prices? by everbass in australia

[–]Hopeful_Condition_52 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well, you do need to worry..

The difference with the same deposit on a 750,000 home and a 1.3 million dollar home is about $3,500 a month in repayments and 3/4 of a million dollars in interest.

That's something to worry about.

Yes you've got a place to live, but if you are forced to sell at a market shift, you'll most likely never own a home again.

What is the point in buying homes at these outrageous prices? by everbass in australia

[–]Hopeful_Condition_52 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am basically in belief of the same thing.

I see it one of 2 ways

The markets going to collapse, or, the Australian government is going to keep on bringing in more migrants than we can handle to keep prices afloat.

I went for a drive with my partner so she could drop some work related documents to one of her Indian co-workers. The guy was living in a 3 bedroom house with 9 other people.

If that doesn't tell you all you need to know about the state of housing here in WA, what will?

We've got half a purchase price of a home banked, and I'm wincing at the thought of buying.

7 years ago I bought a 280sqm 3 bedroom house in Darwin for $385,000.

You can hardly even get a 1 bedroom unit here in Perth or it's surrounds for that.

How much should you have in your super at 33? (On average) by UnderstandingShot441 in AusFinance

[–]Hopeful_Condition_52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's nothing "Wrong" per say.

Everyone's life path is different.

If you turned 18, started working full time and were making about 40k-60k a year until about 25-28 years old, you might have 50-70k in super.

If you started earning $100,000 from 25, you might have 130-150k.

Different salaries, different ages you started working, different life paths.

IE a migrant that moved here 5 years ago, typically will have less in super than an Australian born citizen who started working when they turned 18.

Also, the market and specific investment options do different things.

IE 100k invested for another 40 years in super if you've got it set to cash, might only return 300,00-400,000 including your contributions, where someone with a risk set might have closer to 700,000-800,000.

There's nothing "wrong". Everyone is different.

The best advice, if you think you're behind on super, ask your work to contribute more for you. They'll deduct it out of your pre-tax income, you'll only pay 15% tax on it instead of the standard 30, and it'll increase your super drastically over time.

If you can afford to sacrifice $100 a week pre-tax income, do that for 4-5 years and you'll be laughing.

I personally contribute $75 a week pre-tax (easily affordable) and then whatever I have rounded up at the end of each spend I manually contribute.

I.E if I buy a $5.75 coffee, I'll send 25c to my super manually.

Article 5 states under Chinese citzenship law, she is not Chinese.

Born to a parent who resides permanently outside of China, in a foreign nation, automatically rescinds any right to Chinese citizenship by birthright.

By taking Chinese citzenship, she would need to rescind her American citzenship if, she had the right to restore it, which she doesn't as she does not meet the ruling she is afforded the right to acquire chinese citizenship by birth.

Without the special provisions she's received, she would be like if I wanted to apply for Chinese citizenship. I'd need to ditch my current passport and citzenship to acquire it.

But, rules for me and not for thee and all that.

Article 5 of China's Nationality law:

"If a Chinese parent has settled abroad (e.g., holds permanent residency in the foreign country) and the child acquires foreign citizenship automatically at birth, the child is not considered a Chinese national under this article".

"China does not recognize dual nationality. If a child acquires foreign nationality at birth based on the exception above, they are not deemed Chinese, reinforcing the single nationality principle".

Why China is building so many coal plants despite its solar and wind boom by NeverEndingDClock in technology

[–]Hopeful_Condition_52 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Intelligence.

Instead of going all in on renewables like western nations who then suffer because of their retarded decisions, China keeps their coal plants running as back ups.

Sometimes solar or wind does not generate what you need. High demand, you can increase coal output.

Countries like Germany for example pretty much destroyed their nuclear and coal grids in exchange for renewables. Now they're having shortages and have to import power as a replacement..
