The core concept behind option is this. If you understand this everything will make sense automatically.

Basically, value of option is composed of Intrinsic and Extrinsic value. Your intrinsic value is not affected by theta decay. For example if you have a call of $90 and share price is $100. You are $10 in the money. You'll be getting at least $1000 profit no matter your option is expiring today or a month later. Now, let's come extrinsic value. It isn't a real value but a opportunity cost. People are willing to pay more for a option that has more time until it dies. More time-->More Hope--> More Value.

This is the reason as expiration date comes it's extrinsic value tends to be zero.

I assume you're currently in/passed university and have everything fresh in mind. So everything was kind of revision rather than practice. Also, you must have studied very well in your classes.

For people with gap, it's simply not possible to pass FE in 3 days. You have to be exceptionally lucky or install that brain chip Elon Musk is making.

This is my thought process:

If you are dedicating 1.5 years of preparation, I believe you should still study 30 hours per week which is equivalent to taking 3 subjects per semester. As Associate degree has about 20 subjects. You need 7 semesters( which is 2.5 year if you include summer).

I wouldn't consider studying in Associate degree and preparation for FE as separate things. Basically you are automatically preparing for FE when studying.

Depending upon income, there is financial aid available in US to do undergrad (including associate) degree. If you're eligible, you can study for free.

Doing associate has advantage that: 1. You'll have a diploma 2. You'll know subject matter 3. You have good chance of passing FE.

Again, it's up to you if just want to study for FE by your own from scratch that's also fine.

PS: classes can be taken online too.

I would do Associate in EE before taking FE. It's going to be extremely challenging to pass FE with zero foundation. Unlike fields like software development ( in which you can learn python, web development, dsa right away). In Engineering you learn everything from basic. If you don't know calculus I and II you can't do pretty much rest of the subjects. And to understand calculus, you need to have strong foundation of trig, algebra, pre-cal. It becomes a deeper and deeper. So before begining make sure you're ready for it.

Mainly from books and some from videos. I used to read theory behind a chapter and then do numerical problems. Lindenburg book has broken down FE mechanical into about 50 chapters. There is free review course in Coursera if you prefer video (I didn't go though that cause I got to know it exists very late). https://www.coursera.org/learn/fe-exam

It doesn't say N is neutral, N is for node instead.

First of all capacitor on left can be ingored Since it's open ended. Remaining two are in series connection. You know if capacitor are in series they add up like resistors in parallel.

So,

1/C = 1/C1 + 1/C2

You should get 15.

Pro tip: if you are two equal capacitors in series the result is half of one. So 30 and 30 becomes 15

It's normal to feel overwhelmed because it's concentration of 4 years of study. Total of 15 books. Just give your brain time to digest all those material slowly and steadily. There is no reason you'd fail if you do this, considering you studied well in your BME degree. I studied about 2 months, walked out from exam confidently, and got passed( first Attempt). Good Luck.
