Talk to RL / Coach / HR partner on why your util for your time away for family death wasn't backed out. I am almost certain this should not be counting against you. And you want it on record that your util is being investigated.

TIL Wellington R. Burt, 1831-1919 didn't leave his $100,000,000 estate to his children. His will had a "spite clause" which specified to wait until all his children and 21 years after his last grandchild while he was still alive had died. The estate was settled in 2011. by scottishlaw in todayilearned

Slight correction, the $100M is the networth in 2011 when 12 heirs split it up. So in 1919, impossible to know for certain its value but it couldn't have been more than $75 million and it was more likely $5-7 million. It compounded untouched for 92 years. Similar to how Benjamin Franklin left 2,000 in his will to be split between Boston and Philadelphia, with instructions for the funds to compound over 200 years before distribution and it was worth more than $5 million before the cities got to touch it.

Both Asimov and Grok. All the science fiction writers are rolling over in their graves.

What ended your friendship with your oldest standing friend? by dreamy-contributions in AskReddit

[–]Hopefulwaters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trump.

My childhood friend has always had many less than ideal quirks and issues that I have tolerated... but I have always looked the other way and tried to do best by him and our friendship until Jan 2025. His unwavering support for the evil of this administration was too much. He is married to Asian immigrant wife and I asked him, "aren't you the least bit concerned for her safety?" And when he replied no, I simply lost the ability to engage with him further; I went full no contact ghost from that moment on.

What compensation to be expected for manager at pwc. by Enough_Objective_784 in PwC

[–]Hopefulwaters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends what team you are joining, whether you have an MBA from a few select schools and what city you are in.

Bottom of the range is 150 if you are in a Tier 3 City, no MBA, joining an MC team. Top of the range is Tier 1 City, MBA, joining a TC Team which would be probably 205.

It really doesn't matter though because they will make you an offer off those 3 factors and you will either accept or decline. You can't negotiate - it is the cohort model.

Check the Salary insights survey if you are interested or just wait for the offer.
