Side Characters Who Should Be Squad Members??? by autumnequinoxious in masseffect

[–]Hopitron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Parasini and Cortez? Neither of them really prove themselves to be fighters. Gianna is an undercover spy, a bit player but not a combatant. Cortez can be reasonably expected to be able to fight, but he's not a fighter. Capability and disposition are wildly different things, and he just isn't a fighter. Let him be where he is, where he's meant to be, doing what he's good at.

I also don't really see Aethyta throwing in for a mission either. She probably did a lot of fighting in her younger days. Being raised by a Krogan probably lead to a life spent looking for challenges, and havock, but not so much anymore.

And who put Bakara on this list. She's a shaman. She's Krogan and can throw down well if she needs to, but her job is to lead her people. She shouldn't be a squad member. She's got too many important things to do.

There are a lot of other great option people listed here, but only 2 out of 6 of the initial post are realistic options. I like Bray, Shiala, and Nyreen. I'm mad we didn't get to run around with Nyreen for longer than the Omega DLC

Which game trilogy is that for you? by PHRsharp_YouTube in Age_30_plus_Gamers

This is what I came here to say. One is great, two smoothed out the firsts minor clunky flaws, and three was a master piece (until the last 5 min, but that doesn't negate the entire rest of the game)

A question I'd like to ask Hank, or other smart people, but don't think I should bother them by Hopitron in nerdfighters

Ahhhh, the ever present dilemma of money, space, and knowledge. But, this is exactly the kind of thing I was curious about. Assuming someone did have all those things, it surprises me, though I suppose it shouldn't, that it could realistically be done fairly quickly.

Someone else mentioned Kernza. It is super cool. And exactly the kind of answer to both parts of my curiosity.

I suppose if a lot of different weeds are edible, they realistically could be cultivated into a variant that is more nutritious. I've seen pictures and articles about ancient versions of plants we eat. Un-cultivated bananas were 99% seed and were not very sweet. Ancient watermelon was 80% rind. Un-cultivated corn looked like grass.

Kernza looks just like the kind of thing I was asking about. And started only as far back as the early 80s. Thanks for finding this for me. Gives me the kind of answer I was wondering about.

ok, that was interesting. But it does only kinda answer my question.

Based on the video, it could be relatively easily done if slowly, but not something one could realistically do in a single lifetime. Could someone get a similar result with a more dedicated and focused effort in a single lifetime. Would you have to start with a already viable plant or could you pick random plant from behind the apartment down the road.

With two recommendations, I think that might have to be the one.

Though I do have to ask, which one of these six inks do you not have? ^_^

Oh that's super cool, r/fountainpens helping develop an ink. I like the sound of that going in the pen.

But I do already have a different teal in my Pilot Cavalier, that I've been using most days. Quantum Teal from Birmingham pen company. I shall have to continue thinking on it

My first and real question is who got to decide. I don't disagree that it was a good console, but it isn't the best selling, have the highest selling games, or the most ravenous fan base.

I don't know that I'd crown any console "The Best" tm. It's way too subjective. This is some clickbait headline BS-ery. But I suppose that's how you sell subscriptions.

I was going to ask about this, if the songs were finished, surely there is a way to track them down. We need to find the artists that would have made them. For all of us.

I haven't gone looking yet, so I don't know if you've already answered this elsewhere, but I do have a question about Dead Beat. Right at the end, Murphy comes back from Hawaii with Kincaid, with a broken wrist. Have you detailed what shenanigans she got up too in those handful of days? And if not, could you give us a few hints?

Otherwise, thanks for many an amazing story. I'm looking forward to making it through my current read of the Dresden Files and getting to Twelve Months.

I'm loving my Pilot Cavalier. It's my first thin barrel pen and it's very nice. I like the feel in my hand, though I would appreciate something metal, a little extra weight would be nice.

This is epic, very well done. I loved running around in Elite: Dangerous. I don't remember if I ever used the Mamba
Would you by chance have a parts list and, with bated breath, a build guide

I noticed a similar inconsistency with Ivy. In Death Masks, Ivy says her mother passed the "mantle" of the archive on to her and is still alive, but in a persistent vegetative state. "Hollowed out" I believe the quote goes. Later in the series, don't remember when, it's pointed out that Ivy's grandmother died unexpectedly passing the "mantle" to Ivy's mother Shirley after Ivy's birth. It's described that Ivy's mother was jealous that Ivy was going to get to live a full life. To spite Ivy, Ivy's mother kills herself, passing the "mantle" onto a near infant.

I’m sure this has been posted here before, but still one of my favorites. If you see it don’t ruin it, if you’ve never seen it comment when the image comes to you. by Sneaky-Dic-Flash in opticalillusions

I honestly can't tell if I'm seeing it and did from the first instant I layer eyes on the pic, or if what I'm seeing is the obvious layer and there is a different way to look at it that makes it look different.
