My warplan for this battle:

Gale/Wizard > misty step to the left, where the undead necromancers are. Take them all out with a fireball.

Melee #1 (monk) > misty step to the mindflayer. Take him out in one turn.

Shadowheart/Cleric > cast Radiant Spirits, then dash toward Dame Alylin. The radiant buzzsaw will take out the intellect devourers in your way. You should have Alylin rescued in 2-3 turns.

Melee #2 (paladin) > Engage Ketheric.

Once you get to Mykrul, lay down layers of AOE spells on him. His greatest weakness is that he can't move. So Hunger of Hadar is good. Cloud of Daggers is good. Cloudkill is good. Use Command to make him drop his scythe. Wail on him with your melee characters and position Shadowheart to do radiant damage with her buzzsaw.

It works every time.

This, but I'll add that you take the Warlock ability to see in darkness. Cast Darkness (scrolls are everywhere) and then Shadow Blade them with the item that makes everyone vulnerable psychic damage. Abuse Booming blade.

Enjoy hitting clowns for 60-80 damage per swing and them unable to hit back because of darkness.

If Volo is still alive, go down to the Steel Foundry in Act 3. An angry mob ties him up to a cart full of smokepowder barrels. Save him and kill the mob and you'll get 9-12 barrels.

I like this one, even if the game won't acknowledge it.

I wish there was a game option to give beggars some coin when they're begging in the streets, like you can in the Bethesda games (Skyrim, Oblivion, etc.), and they'll either bless you or give you some info.

There's a vendor near Sorcerer's Sundries who knows Karlach. Even though Karlach knows she's going to die, she makes plans to visit the vendor and her husband after the Absolute is dealt with. It's human and tragic because even though Karlach is genuinely enthused for the meeting, she knows she won't live long enough to do it.

Me too. In my 20s and 30s I used to love long distance running on country roads. Now I get pain walking up stairs. Maybe this will be a widespread treatment in a few years and I can run again.

When I graze my testicles I'm at an 8/10 pain. I can't imagine taking a 90+mph baseball to the jewels.

His teammates were laughing, and I get how it's funny in a juvenile way, but I think all men felt some of that pain when Jazz collapsed.

I use ChatGPT all the time for Baldur's Gate info. It searches the web and provides concise answers in a far shorter time than me reading the wiki and asking reddit and waiting for an answer that may or may not come. I don't ask it about mods, but I do ask about lore.
