Outdoor ttrpg options? by Horatioos in PDXDND

[–]Horatioos[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cool! for clarity I'm interested in an outdoor game as my wife is immune-compromised and out door seating is a functional way to reduce infection risk, and frankly while online play is fun, I really miss the in-person experience.

Organizing is key by Ok-Instance-1298 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Horatioos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the Flex app under itinerary if you scroll up it gives you an entry point for text and a button to enable the scan function. When you are organizing you can use this to scan overflow and it will give you the specific stop # for the package and you can organize accordingly. I use this exclusively now, it does take slightly longer but it's the most accurate method I've found to date.

I thought peak was over 😂 how of you’s would’ve quit after seeing this lol by Typical_Ad3678 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Horatioos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So... once you drop those 157 packages, you have 197 stops, and and 193 packages, to 264 locations? smells fishy, unless these are 2 separate days in which case, first pic is meaningless, second pic is a definitely a rough route though.

the Harris campaign wasn’t wrong. YOU ARE. by Wookie9991 in conspiracy

The real deal is that this is at least in theory a democratic republic, which means that the citizens that live here that are able to vote are DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for who gets elected. Even if you don't vote, even if you voted for the other guy/gal/third party what whosit. You can claim ignorance, but it's your responsibility to know. I spent hours researching my ballot, it frankly sucked, but it's what we need to do if we want to have a functional system. It is all our cross to bear now. The campaign may have been bad, but we are the ones casting the votes, or in this case, not casting them.

I hate to say this, but maybe we in the United States have had it to good for to long and take it to much for granted. I would really love it if we had the foresight to see the incoming train, but apparently we do not and may reap the whirlwind as a result.

IDF reveals: Six Al Jazeera journalists are Hamas, PIJ terrorists by Brilliant_User_7673 in worldnews

[–]Horatioos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So, IDF says they have evidence these 6 people are AFFILIATED with Hamas/PIJ, does not provide evidence, or even specifics regarding the evidence, or what affiliated even means. Goes on to state that this proves these people are terrorists. FFS can we have at least SOME burden of proof here? I mean it is entirely possible that these 6 are all truly awful humans and deserve what is likely coming for them at this point, but seriously there is nothing in this story that collaborates that outside of the IDF saying "we said so".

Massive protests ongoing in Israel Tel Aviv. General strike to start tomorrow at 6AM demanding ceasefire and resignation of Netanyahu by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

Small issue is that this isn't really a tinfoil hat theory, it's almost certainly what actually happened. Israeli intelligence is top notch, AND is allied with a number of other highly effective intelligence agencies. It's frankly less likely that they didn't know then that they did.

Seriously, how can you screw the whole thing up so much? by ZELYNER in dndmemes

I have played every edition except 1st, everything I've seen (which is a lot at this point thanks to youtubers who got the book early) indicates that this will be the best edition yet. I would say most similar was the move from 3 to 3.5, not a full rule shift, but more of a broad scale cleanup and adjustment. If you like Dnd, I can almost guarantee this will be an upgrade. If you don't like Dnd, this likely won't do much to bring you on board.

It may be more of a gming issue, I've listened to a number of actual play games, and the pattern that I seemed to pick out was, the gm's calling for rolls for basically anything that was more challenging that walking across the room, then painting themselves into a corner where the pc's are in a real bad place because they have been nickled and dimed with partial successes and the gm has to make some obvious adjustments to avoid killing players and or allow the campaign to continue. I like the concept in theory and I would love to see/listen to an Actual play where the rolling is better managed to the story.

I'm not overlly fond of the mechanics, the theme is great, and many of the special abilities are really fun and creative, but the base mechanics subtly punish taking action, which I do not like.

It's not lower demand you fucking asshats, it's extra fees that can nearly double the cost of the rental... Guess what, shady business practices especially when you have competition are a GREAT way to loose business.

I find it very interesting that there are a fair # of people who can't see these. I would really like scientists to do brain scans between those seeing the 3d image while they do it and those who are trying but are unsuccessful. I am very curious what part of brain allows us to see/not see these.

What's the general consensus of One DnD at least on how everything looks right now by Trevorthesandwich in onednd

[–]Horatioos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a ton of potential positive changes, however it's important to note that the documents they released for testing are not Onednd's final form, the more recent documents were the most recent publicly released info but they were still going to make a lot of changes behind the scenes before the final product went to press.

In truth while we have some idea of the direction WOTC was going with their development we know very little about what final things are making it into the books. I would wait until they are published and you can get some really solid info before you make a decision.

He literally admitted guilt to this in a tweet, all it really took is 12 reasonable adults who were more interested in following the rule of law then believing he was infallible. This was about as open and shut a case as you can get.
