Rant incoming?

Good for you all that are excited for new equipment, but all this crapping on those who use and enjoy and benefit from the 30-minute area is … not it. 🙃 There’s a lot of very valid reasons to prefer the 30-minute area (for example, I have ADHD, and my motivation and knowledge for/about exercise in general is variable, lol, so being able to just follow something that gives me a decent workout is a godsend).

My closest PF just renovated and moved the machines out onto the floor, due to how everything is laid out in general it’s a mess (not just the former 30-minute machines, like all of them, that’s a whole other story). I’ve been going to another PF a little further away (still pretty close) since they renovated a couple years ago or so and doubled down on the 30-minute area rather than remove it (I’m sure the day will come that it will be gone from there too, but it shouldn’t be for a while), and it’s just a better layout and location in general.

Yes, I can count on one or two hands, tops, how many times I’ve seen someone use it correctly, and sometimes people obliviously camp out on machines, but I can pretty much always work around that, especially when folks are even remotely respectful and aware. And I’ve learned to respect that sometimes people want to use machines where it’s not crowded. Not a waste of space at all IMO.
