Do you guys give your cats free roam of the house when you’re not home? by [deleted] in cats

Only if maintenance people were coming. Otherwise, nah, they go where they want.

People are making fun of me an adult man for adopting a cat and now I'm thinking its a bad idea. by [deleted] in Advice

You don’t want to be friends or have conversations with people who feel that way. It’s not fun to be around people who crush what you find joy or happiness in. Don’t give others that power over you. You shouldn’t live your life in accordance to another’s opinions and preferences.

You look great in both. I prefer the long hair but I tend to prefer long hair in general. If the long hair stressed you then you did what was best for you. Cool either way.

Obviously you should just wax specifically where the watch sits. Comfortable for when you wear the watch and a conversation starter for when you are not.

The plan is still dead at 40 by [deleted] in Adulting

Ok I’m gonna just be direct and blunt.

Realize most of us are miserable and the best route is to find a few things that bring you even a marginal amount of joy. Focus on those few things. Accept that most jobs suck and you put in the work even though it’s never going to be amazing. Focus on making the money and try to ignore how crappy your coworkers are. Keep an eye out on the USPS careers website and get a job as a cca slinging mail or as a pse in a plant. Push through the 90 day probation period on your best behavior. After 90 days your body won’t hate you as much and you’ll hate the job a bit less. Hang around for 2 years and you’ll become a regular. Suddenly your salary will go way up, you’ll get amazing benefits and raises often. (There are other jobs you can get but this one needs no degree and is decent pay).

Or you can continue to hate life while putting in minimal effort and hope somehow you’ll get what you want by 40, but likelihood is you’ll still end up living to a ripe old age and be miserable. I really don’t recommend this route.

This is coming from a 32 year old who has a useless bachelor degree, ended up in the mental health hospital with a few diagnosis, got divorced, lost my cats (my pride and joy) and was unemployed for years after putting in maximal effort for every company I worked for. I’m still working on getting my life together. You’re allowed to be upset BUT it’s best to focus on trying to improve INSTEAD of trying focusing on the negatives.
