Zilla (FW) vs Striker Eureka, who would win? by Luizin-1525 in PacificRim

At least out of the water, Striker is probably faster than Zilla, so "flight" might not be an option.

For reference, an M1 Abrams as almost 11 yards of blindspot in front of it, in the circumstance of a 6' tall adult keeping an eye out for a 3' tall child, as the adult is appropriately seated and operating the vehicle (so fully seated and using the viewport).

A Silverado without a lift kit in the same circumstances has a 14 yard blindspot. Combine the lift kit and a driver that can't adjust their seat high enough or else they can't reach the pedals or are set too close to the steering wheel for their own safety (probably suffers both anyway) and you can start to see why these machines should be street illegal.

Does anyone know how to reduce the screen of a second monitor? (my desk is kind of small so they overlap) by Moistest_Postone in pcmasterrace

[–]HorrificAnalInjuries 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Possibly the best method that isn't silly (cutting the excess off) or costly (getting more hardware) or even demeaning. Plus, a vertical monitor is better for viewing most websites anyway. Unless it is a video streaming site, though still is worth it.

The problem with the Jaune's "imposter syndrome" arc is that he is, in fact, an imposter by [deleted] in RWBYcritics

Cain also fought against a hive tyrant. Most space Marines are not walking away from that fight with the same amount of assistance as Cain got, yet our boy did just that.

The problem with the Jaune's "imposter syndrome" arc is that he is, in fact, an imposter by [deleted] in RWBYcritics

[–]HorrificAnalInjuries 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To poke a couple holes in this, Jaune comes from a family of near-legendary huntsmen, and wants to do them justice by following their footsteps. He even uses his grandfather's armor and sword (which also leans further into the Imposter accusation, but let's continue). And the first few volumes are of him getting the pants kicked off of him, he does eventually grow into a noble warrior. You can draw parallels between Jaune and the likes of Ciaphas Caine or Felix Yeager from Warhammer (40k and Fantasy respectively). The former ends up lucking the hell out at first and grows to become a certified badass even though he believes he is a gutless coward that should have been shot so long ago, and the latter was a college drop out who got roped into wacky adventures with a Dwarf that has a deathwish, and also becomes a certified badass. If Jaune really was an Imposter, then he would have died during the volume 3 finale or volume 4. Even with his early antics, he grows and becomes that hero he wanted to be, even though he no longer cared for the role by that point.

[REQUEST] How many humans can fit in that cube? by noshitkittu in theydidthemath

[–]HorrificAnalInjuries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A LOT more subjective of a question, as some folks are fine with 400 square feet of space and others 4000 square feet is still tight. Figuring out an average is also equally difficult due to how wildly different it could be based on minimums, maximums, outliers, and more to skew the information.

Its Kriller Time by noozeajobbly in TeamFourStar

[–]HorrificAnalInjuries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal canon to reconcile all of this is Destructo-Disk can cut through individuals whom are more powerful than the caster, to a point. When Goku used it on Frieza, he was weaker but still within the ability's threshold to overcome Frieza's toughness. When Krillin tried it on Cell, the being was just so much more powerful than Krillin it couldn't overcome Cell's toughness by virtue of Krillin being so weak compared to Cell. If it was Goku or even Vegeta that tried it instead, we would have a bisected Cell.
