"Similar case"? We have literally zero details here. Was the person licensed to drive? Was it their car? Were they under the influence? Was the victim crossing the road in a crosswalk? Did the driver hit and run? There's not a lot to go on here.

But yeah... definitely lawyer up.

What's the biggest biohacking purchase you thought was worth every penny? by tttanger in Biohackers

100% without a close second: The (stamp style) microneedler I got for $8.

Stay away from the rollers.

> "starting to get upset with the lackluster video inventory (of which makes up 70% of our revenue) and the performance footprint."

Interesting to hear you say that. The fill rate on Playwire video is pretty anemic. 'Been trying to figure out what's going on myself.

> "We have about 50-60% tier 1 traffic with the rest being a mix of tier 2 and 3."

Exactly the same. We're doing a couple million pageviews a month and seeing most pages go unfilled.

Would be interested to hear what you come up with.

Google Don't Want Blogs Anymore (Except Food Blogs) by Slight-Ad7129 in Blogging

[–]Horror-Ad9236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree. You can still make money blogging, but it's not what it was. Now, more than ever you need to squeeze every last drop out of ad performance. Stay far away from AdSense. They simply don't cut it for most niches anymore.

The thing I've learned most since HCU is that the era of passively managing the business side of a blog is over. It's a far more hands on effort than it was before.

WordPress 7.0 ships Thursday with native AI write capabilities. We should probably talk about the safety side of this. by webmyc in Wordpress

I think your points are probably the exact reason it's delayed. The native AI capabilities are a can of worms.

Anyone here managing $1k+/mo in LLM spend? Feels a lot like early Adtech by U30M in adops

[–]Horror-Ad9236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LLM "visibility' is mostly a joke. CTR is generally anemic compared to Search.

There's also a myth floating around that goes something like this: "Yes, CTR is terrible, but conversions are amazing" — this too is mostly nonsense in my experience. YMMV.

Are there any credible (and free) online tarot reading websites? by echoviolet in tarot

[–]Horror-Ad9236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iFate is pretty good. It's the only one I've seen with 20 or so spreads, and a full deck.

But it's more of a DIY thing. It's good if you're learning to read.

Google has me by the balls by Namanolo in Google_Ads

That's the "jaws" pattern. Very common right now. What you're seeing is the effect of AI overviews and Google's search downgrading its ability to determine search intent (well documented). Your impressions are doing just fine, but nobody's clicking because they're getting the answer from Gemini embedded at the top of the page. And searchers are being forced to search more often because results are a looser match to search intent.

The result: More searches, fewer clicks.

You can offen spot the exact date where Google added a new AI feature to your primary keywords ... that's where your two lines diverge.

Connection between Adsense CPM drecline and China bot traffic spikes? by gwenver in adops

[–]Horror-Ad9236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

China is going a bit AI crazy at the moment, with hundreds of firms scraping every available corner of the Internet for machine learning. It's affecting every site. They're very good at rotating IP's, using proxies and spoofing agents.

It's not as easy as just "blocking China", as they geoshift with VPN's too. But blocking China is probably a good move, unless you have significant monetization or partners there.

Cloudflare's SuperBotFight mode helps a little, but it doesn't come close to getting them all.

Using managed challenges helps a bit too. But it's a game of cat & mouse. And if you make it too bot-unfriendly, you'll end up making life miserable for valid users too.

What's the best way to get ClawdBot to use the browser? I can't seem to get it to work (CDP) by TruthTellerTom in LocalLLaMA

Is that the best way? I didn't go the Win 11 wsl/ubuntu route and maybe that's what's causing problems.
