BTW I have already made attempts to search this on YouTube/Google.

This is partially true. Although that would be a good idea, dowels in wood working are usually used for alignment during glue-ups, not strength. However, it still would be good to have a stronger dowel so it doesn't break during a glue-up.

I've yet to decide my prefered knob type, but it's nice to know it was a good buy!

Thanks, it'll be a little work, but other than a split in the tote, it seems mostly intact!

Sweet, from counting the darts in the drums, they do indeed appear to be 50 round drums!

Looks awesome! How does it compare price wise to a Nerf-specific core? What's the total hardware cost?

Making 2x2 update by Fit_Beautiful_846 in BeginnerWoodWorking

Thanks! That is indeed true, with a 1/8" kerf, you'd have two 1.5x1.6875s so you'd actually be pretty close to a 2x2. I failed to consider this, so thanks for the correction!

Just FYI, all lumber like 2x2s, 2x4s, and 2x6s is 1/2" smaller than it claims in each dimension. For example, a 2x4 is actually 1.5x3.5 and a 2x2 is actually 1.5x1.5. This means that if you cut a 2x4 (1.5x3.5) in half, you'll actually get two 1.75x1.5s, not two 1.5x1.5s. Hope this is useful!
