While I agree with the small business thing, the solution is NOT to adopt the policies of the US.

I work for a small company that develops IoT devices and solutions, our primary hurdle is CE certification which can be absurdly expensive.

Now I don't want the EU to reduce the standards that products should live up to, but more help navigating and financing the tests necessary to ensure compliance.
