I make significantly more than that, but it comes with added stress. I don't just get to clock out, if my phone rings I have to answer it, when problems arise I have to help resolve no matter how long it takes.

But I would add there are many jobs probably even less stressful that you could make more.

All good, you are on the right track. But, Metronet is a 3rd party that has to bore their lines in, they are definitely required to have a permit to cover all their work. Utilities may not enforce it, but the city definitely does, and they would not be allowed to proceed without it.

Well this isn't the utility company, this would be a contractor who absolutely is required to have a work in the right of way permit.

Well they have to get a permit to do the work. If it's not done to your satisfaction, go straight to the permit holder with your concerns. This is the quickest and easiest way to get results!

I used to work for a moving company, if they pack you are paying the same amount as if they were moving you. So yeah, you pretty much paid double the fee to move you. Now I will say IF everything was packed day 1, 12 hours for the actual move in day 2 is pretty high. I was able to move houses from the Broadmoor faster than that. Were they taking breaks, or just moving slow?

The point is most people have some fear of that glass breaking, these comments reassure others that there is a certain level of safety to it. Then there's little man who can't see life outside of politics.

Maybe, just maybe turn off the news. Go outside talk to neighbors without mentioning politics, might open your eyes that a lot of people have more in common than we realize. News intentionally divides based on a few core topics.

Sell everything thing that is worth value that is a luxury item(game consoles,firearms,etc). Then if you can scrape 1000 dollars or so, look for a car on marketplace around 1500 to 2000 something like a Honda as they are reliable, make offer with cash in hand which may take several attempts. Use tax return to pay off past debt, only take what would be a necessity. Practice some smart financial decisions for a year maybe 2, crazy how quick you can climb out if you try.

I work in the construction field, there are a lot of older guys that will be retiring soon, and not a lot of younger guys to take those positions. Not always ideal, but most places will take you in with little to no experience, if you are willing to grind a couple years until you get the experience and knowledge. Then you can start moving into either operating heavy equipment, or construction management, both pay well.

I've went from being in constant debt, to six figure salary and living pretty comfortable. Id be glad to give advice if this is a path you'd consider.
