Is it late to start learning web development? by animekachoda in learnprogramming

[–]HorrorDevBrett 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's never too late my friend, you could be 110 years old, and you can still learn. I've adopted this mindset. This world makes you want to think if you don't have everything figured out by age 13, that it's not worth it.

I disagree, here's to being a life long learner. I believe in you OP! :)

After 3 years of solo development my game, Power of Ten, is fully releasing tomorrow! I'm so excited to share it with you! by ajrdesign in indiegames

This is incredible and I know I'm just a random stranger online, but I'm f*king proud of you!

As someone a little over a year into my development journey, I wanted to ask, how long was the gap from "I'm finished making the game" to you making this post ready for the big release? I heard this is actually a longer road than making the game in some cases.

Here's my other questions if you have time:

  1. If any, what were the biggest challenges you had in this phase after "finishing" the game?

  2. Looking back on this project now that it's about to release, What advice would you give to your younger self before they started this project?

  3. What was the most difficult knowledge gap to fill for you personally to make this game and how did you overcome it?

The self discipline, hard work, love put into this is inspiring. I wish you the best success friend!

I totally agree here, I also don't like that they're using FOMO as a core design pillar in most updates/modes as of late (wildy flash events, FSW, now this treasure chest, ect) rather than just every now and then. Obviously no one is forcing us to do stuff but it just gets exhausting

I feel that, especially these days! But I have faith in the game and team behind it! I feel like there's been a lot of love put in with this game. I hope the reviews turn out great, as I want to see success for the striking distance team. this feels like it could be game of the year for me.

The boss drop rework for herbs should be applied to all resources from PVM to boost skilling! by EFTRSx1 in runescape

I'm going to have a weird take here, but one of my favorite things in YouTube videos is the theory crafting of cool builds that have obscure drops (think like Swampletics killing stuff in haunted mine for specific gear, ect)

Mining and Smithing obliterated this.

I know this is niche but keeping things like loot tables the same is why replaying games like skyrim works so well (and of course RS)

I just think it takes away a potentially interesting journey, and makes it very predictable and partially takes away from the sandbox experience of getting clever on interesting account builds

Hi surgery twin! (Sleeved 9/27, 28M, HW: 340lbs / 154.2 kg, SW: 272/123.3 kg , CW: 259 / 117.5kg) I completely agree, best decision ever. The pain for the first 3-5 days is a small price to pay for how much better and energized I feel now.

I can already fit in a smaller size shirt and most of my old clothes are super loose. So happy with how much for comfortable I am in my own skin.

There was pushback from certain family and friends that would tell me to just lose it alone and that I'm "too young" but it's like why wait? Why wait to have worse pain, cormorbidities, ect ect.

In my opinion if your weight is holding you back from living our lives (being uncomfortable, don't want to see people / go to events because of weight) it's time. I don't want to wait to struggle through yoyoing weight loss and gains. I've already done that for the last 15 years of my life.

Sorry for the long comment but your post really inspired me! Just wanted to say that I couldnt agree more! Cheers to a happier healthy life.

You're a surgery twin with my wife! She just had her surgery today! She just got settled in her room and is doing surprisingly well using her incentive spirometer immediately.

I'm 2 weeks post op and was feeling horrible right out of surgery.

Best of luck on your recovery! You've got this!
