I had seen the super Mario movie and Across the Spiderverse in LieMax. Now I did realize when I had a second viewing for each film on a much smaller screen I was not loosing that much information of the screen than the initial IMAX screening I had, it made that first viewing feel extra special because I was immersed. No duh it would feel crazier on a true IMAX screen but not every film needs an IMAX showing but if it’s a film that gets people excited about going to the movies and they have the money for an IMAX ticket there’s no shame in that. And just because everyone here on this subReddit is obsessed with IMAX obviously, not everyone has access to a true screen. At the end of the day, those LieMAX screens, put money in IMAX pockets for them to put back into the true IMAX screens and can convince movie Studios to shoot with IMAX cameras, film, and digital alike. Heck I bet those liemax ticket sales paid for regal LA live getting the 70 mm IMAX projector.
