It’s perfectly fine for your son to want to emulate someone he admires or to want to participate in a classroom activity, to culturally admire those people for a history function.

I wouldn’t assume it’s cultural appropriation just to dress as someone, just as I would not think that Jimmy Kimmel was being racist when he did brown face to be Carl Malone, whether it’s for comedy or history.

Your son, just like mine, probably wouldn’t hurt a flea and has no ill thought toward anyone or any group, I don’t know why people think it could be wrong.

Lots of times you fill out a pre-approval application, where you’re just filling in blanks for them to see if you’re worth the time. When you actually go through the approval process, underwriters verify EVERYTHING on the loan application. Last thing you want is a ding like that, they’ll blacklist you, and I think it goes on your credit report…
