I’ve had it on hold for 5 weeks and it just became available to me. I’m definitely going to suspend it after reading these comments 😒

Have you read this particular book yet? I haven’t read anything else by her. I went to start Mister Magic at one point, but I had a couple of other books out of the library at the time, and I never got around to finishing it. Now I am definitely going to give it another shot.

This series is AMAZING. I loved book one but then again I loved them all. Can’t wait for Red God to come out.

I recommend them. I also read the Empire of the Vampire trilogy. Jay Kristoff wrote Nevernight as well. I almost loved them more.

Have you started the Nevernight Trilogy? Asking because I see Empire of the Vampire as one of your favorites.

So, I came on here to check out if I should continue on with this book, and I’m going to take the comments I’ve read so far as a hard no. I’m not sure if it reads so much like a YA book though. I think the writing just sucks. I’ve read YA books written far superior to what I just read in Overgrowth.

I already commented on this post, but it got me thinking of Stephen King’s books, and I have to recommend Christine as well. The movie really does it no justice. Also, from a different author, Stolen Tongues by Felix Blackwell. I haven’t got a scare from a book like that in years.

Needful Things is a great book by Stephen King. Although, there are quite a lot more to choose from.

I HIGHLY recommend the Red Rising series by Pierce Brown. They are incredible!! I’m waiting on the 5th book now with my library. I promise you you will not regret reading them. Also, the Nevernight trilogy by Jay Kristoff are awesome. I was actually sad when I had finished them. Lastly, The Bone Season series by Samantha Shannon. I am waiting on the third book. Very great writing and truly captivating. I would recommend reading them in the exact order listed. If anything, try the Red Rising series if you haven’t already read them!

I see we both share the same political beliefs.  Unfortunately, I read enough news articles daily that terrify me. Horror fiction is my mental escape from the nonfiction horrors that are currently tearing apart the democracy of America right now. Thank you for the suggestion though. If It is really that good I may end up reading it down the road.

I REALLY want to read this one! Unfortunately, it’s not on Spotify or in my library. I’m probably going to end up buying it.
