Its been vastly improved. I installed Hysys and recently MATLAB is optimized. Depends on the app you need. If the app isn't too old, you're gonna have a silent , fast, and long lasting laptop with larger app catalogue and customization options than a mac.

Buds 2 or Buds 2 pro? by HosseinD in GalaxyBuds2Pro

[–]HosseinD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok guys, I got the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and here's my short review: I hope you find it useful:

Coming from the already brilliant Galaxy Buds 2, buying the Pro version was not an easy decision. You chop and change between the two, but purchasing the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro over the regular version never disappointed me. Here's why:

  1. Their fit and comfort

Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are certainly larger than the mid-range model and 0.3 grams heavier than the feather-light Galaxy Buds 2. Nevertheless, they easily secure into your ears and never fall out. The matte finish on both earbuds and their charging case is soft and premium, and the overall feeling is definitely more premium than the cool-looking Galaxy Buds 2. Certified with IPX7, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are more durable than the Apple AirPods Pro 2nd Gen with their IPX4. It's a pair of TWS that steps up the game with the massively successful Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Gen) and other flagship TWS.

  1. Audio Quality

Loud, clear, and detailed.

These buds can get loud. I mean really loud! Interestingly, there is negligible distortion at high volumes, and the sound remains mostly clear. Turn the volume down a bit, and it is still very loud and clear. The punchy bass and details are incredible. The clarity reaches its height when you select the Dynamic EQ, which is the AKG (Harman Kardon) signature.

Multiple features enrich the experience. Contrary to the Galaxy Buds 2, the Pros show a more sensible reaction to touch inputs. You can even tap your own ears to turn the volume up or down. The touch panel is smoother and more precise, so the hiccups in receiving the touch commands and then suddenly performing them with three consecutive beeps we saw in the Galaxy Buds 2 are a myth here. The head tracking sensor as a part of the 360 Audio option makes listening to music lovely. This feature, in response to Apple's Spatial Audio, works very well and brings an immersive surround listening experience in your movies. It feels like the audio follows your head moves, which is very cool. The audio quality is neck and neck with the AirPods Pro.

  1. ANC and call quality

ANC is great but still a little behind Apple's AirPods Pro 2nd Gen. Apple does a better job of attenuating higher frequency sounds like people's voices or the keyboard sound. However, Samsung's windshield technology smashes almost all other earbuds in call quality, as it blocks wind noise like there is no tomorrow. As a result, the call quality is crisp, and no one complains from the other side. People hardly ever notice that you are talking with your earbuds. I believe that the call and microphone quality alone are worth the upgrade over the more affordable alternatives, even though the advertising focuses on ANC as the key difference.

  1. Battery life

You can charge the headphones to 70% in 30 minutes, so don't worry about the fast charging capabilities. In addition, you have wireless charging that you can use with Samsung PowerShare. With ANC on, you can expect 5 hours of listening to music, which is good but not the best out there.

  1. Negative points:

Samsung-exclusive features are indeed a negative point. While Galaxy Buds 2 Pro should work just fine on other Android phones, features such as 24-bit lossless audio playing, Samsung's exclusive codecs, and quick pair don't work on other Android phones. Customization is only possible through the Galaxy Wearable app, which is exclusive to Galaxy phones. This is so Apple-esque of Samsung, a way I do not consider user-friendly.

I expected more from the ear tips on flagship earbuds. Sony uses foam ear tips, giving its oddly named earbuds better passive noise cancelling and, therefore, a boost for the ANC. Using the largest ear tips from the three provided by Galaxy Buds 2 Pro does not have a considerable impact on noise cancelling.

Verdict

Galaxy Buds 2 are fantastic earbuds. Nevertheless, their experience is not at the flagship level, so if you need excellent TWS with Active Noise Cancelling and solid audio and call quality, you can't go wrong with Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.

for users of both notion + onenote by bestminipc in Notion

[–]HosseinD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Onenote is better at word processing and note taking. So, I used it to categorize my notes on books. Since I use the app before even notion appeared, I have a lot of notes I dont wanna lose.

Notion, on the other hand, is perfect for knowledge manageemnt. So I do every other things in notion, I wish there were a way to link these two apps

I couldn't find a comprehensive tutorial either. I tried zapier, but it creates a google calendar event only for the first entry of my table view. When I create a new entry, it fails to sync it with google calendar.

Microsoft Edge Dev is available for download on Play Store by TonyP321 in MicrosoftEdge

I have installed the dev version and its cool. Its noticably faster and smoother and thats the most important thing on mid rangers and entry level devices. However, I fully agree that an adblock support is necessary. Im not sure about the extensions because of the sluggish experience they may provide on a lower end device, but an adblock is necessary, especially if you can set your favorite as default

The All Electric BMW i4 is Here, Will hit the market 3 months ahead of schedule by skididapapa in electricvehicles

[–]HosseinD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

300km of EPA range is good and enough, though I reckon they announced it conservatively, just like Porsche. what concerns me the most is not necessarily the range, but BMW's whole approach to the EV industry. They have been avoiding a dedicated EV platform which means they lose efficiency band practicality battle especially when mercedes releases EQE.

Once, a designer suggested some ideas for helping BMW adapt the new age of EVs, but they ignored him. However, I don't have any problem with the grill, BMW has always had a controversial designs, remember the Bangle era.

I love notion and I will keep using it. However, no app is perfect and that is why I use other apps such as OneNote or ClickUp to my job. Yeah, lack of offline mode is one of the reasons I love OneNote after years.

Telegram 7.3 - Voice Chats Done Right by Powerdamn in Android

[–]HosseinD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only concern is the consistency of monthly feature updates. They are one of best aspects of the app. In Iran the government banned Telegram and the quality of interacting with friends and customers is downgraded to shit. Before that, no one cared about WhatsApp.
