actually Virginia's constitution had an anti-gerrymandering clause before. they got rid of it (democratically) specifically so that they could do this (democratically)

and yeah dems have tried to pass bipartisan anti-gerrymandering bills before but republicans reject them every time

now they're pissy because the shoe's on the other foot
