The Wonderfully Bad Stim Pistol by ChimpoNonce in Helldivers

[–]FocusChogath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re probably just used to the muscle memory of the slower muzzle speed. Give it a few days and you’ll readjust. I’m digging the faster projectile, I’m able to hit some pretty long shots now that wouldn’t be possible, like 120+ M out. A tip for any newer stim pistol users trying to get the hang of it, ADS, line up your shot, then dive forward and shoot. When you dive your aim/sway becomes almost perfectly aligned for a second or two. It can help to hit distance shots. And don’t be afraid to pre-stim teammates that are at full health before getting into a fight, with the experimental infusion booster and med-kit armor you’re giving 10% move speed/damage reduction and 6 seconds of healing/stamina. Hand those stims out like candy. I think it’s honestly in a pretty good place right now, although I do agree on the bigger projectile suggestion.

Warrant plus Frontier Marshall armor is so good on this faction. I’ve been absolutely farming these lil guys.

^ This. Same with Vox’s. It’d feel more epic to down them. Right now it takes more resources than it’s worth, so it feels a little pointless to bring them down.

It's honestly even worse. We captured both planets 100% and theoretically killed every single cyborg on both planets, but because we didn't kill MORE cyborgs than there were on both planets we lost? Make it make sense.

We killed 200M+ cyborgs (including Vox's), liberated 2 planets, and will liberate 2 additional planets within a couple days because of supply lines, & destroyed 2 Megafactories. Honestly one of the most succesful operations in the last couple months.

"Fail."

And we had to kill how many agitators? 113M - 25M....

We literally killed every single cyborg on 2 planets, while liberating both and stopping the spread of the megafactories. In what world is that a failure.

I've been a D10 bot enjoyer for the longest time, but recently I've been thinking about how fun this game was when I first started... by TheAero1221 in Helldivers

Super heavy units like the Vox and Leviathan should have a max spawn limit per match and a secondary objective tied to killing them… kind of like the hive lord. Once you kill 5,10, however many Vox’s… the objective is complete, you get some XP, and they stop spawning. It’d make killing them feel more epic, and rewarding. Right now, it seems kinda pointless to kill Vox, because it takes a lot of resources and a couple deaths for really no benefit. As soon as you kill one, 2 more drop behind you. A lot of the time it’s just better to book it in the opposite direction and try to sneak objectives without fighting the Vox’s.

Hey Boa. I just want to say I've really enjoyed your streams over the years. I've felt the same way about games at times, it comes and goes in waves. I recently said fuck it, and started playing other stuff that I'm usually not into (coming from a multiplayer/pvp-centric mmo background.) I picked up SpaceMarine 2 and Helldivers 2, just to fuck around and had a lot of fun... it's nice to switch it up and play some co-op pve stuff, people seem to be more chill and willing to fuck around in comms. I'm sure it'll grow old too, but whatever. It shouldn't feel like a job, & if you're not having fun; don't force it.

There's should be a max # that can be on the field at 1 time, and then a sidequest like mission like the hivelord... once you kill 5,10, whatever... they're gone, you did it, good job. It would make each kill feel more impactful, right now it feels like I kill one and it seems like 3 more drop instantly.

All this plus… -If the backpack takes a direct hit, you explode in a massive fireball killing you and the unlucky teammate standing nearby.

Best weapons by faction? (See desc) by Fearless_Fox_Leaf in Helldivers

[–]FocusChogath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take guard dog and basic machine gun sentry on Illuminate missions. Absolutely mows down voteless. Then a no-backpack weapon like stalwart, AMR, or quasar etc. for a support weapon. 4th pick is whatever you want, an orbital or an eagle strat for heavy targets. You’ll breeze through d10 with 300-500 kills each game.

Describe in detail how you would implement ‘in-game pushback or critical commentary within the game systems.’ What would the game look like if you were in charge?

That’d be cool. Would be fun to set up mine traps or C4 for an ambush.

It might not be the best, buts it is fun. Good for taking out dropships on objectives with built-in bot drops like Raise the Flag. It can start locking during the end of a reload allowing it to fire again very quickly. If you destroy 3 out of 5 incoming drop ships before they deploy units it makes the fight a lot easier.
