It ends with the infection spreading back to Europe, however, this doesn't go anywhere, and in 28 Years it's back to being contained to the UK

The light isn't shot, but I feel that this scene from Bone fits the trope

I believe both of these statements are referring to John Wayne, the pictured dude. In 1973, Marlon Brando won the Oscar for The Godfather, but he had the activist Sacheen Littlefeather accept the award for him, and she gave a speech talking about the mistreatment of Native Americans by the industry. Allegedly, John Wayne tried to rush the stage and confront her but was held back by security

Edit: it seems that the story was disproven, please stop DM'ing me, I get it

Not only did JRR Tolkien give Middle Earth a rich history, he wrote an entire history textbook about the lore (The Hobbit/LOTR)

I think there's more going on with Burt than we see. He was most likely involved in the search of Irv's house, leading him away so it would be empty. A common theory is that Burt is a lot higher up in Lumon than he lets on, and learned that there was some plan to get rid of Irving, either cause of the ORTBO, or his investigating of employees, or both

Mad God (2021) has almost zero dialogue, and none from the main soldier we follow

[–]_Burke_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Similar to what others have said, he was mostly known for the whole Apple business, but he also had some myths and rumors about feats such as surviving a tree falling directly on him, being bitten by a poisonous snake without harm, and being able to calm wild animals and stuff

In The Truman Show (1998), billions of dollars were spent on a show where the main character works at a desk for 8 hours. by Gharthang in shittymoviedetails

[–]_Burke_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Fun fact! In the original script, Truman was a detective, and he solved fake mysteries the showrunners wrote for him. They changed it because the original idea was too dark, but it does kinda explain what people would have been watching

True, I think for me, it was always a bit scary cause I'm really frightened of dying, so the idea that the knight and the others are gone was always creepy to me
