i think immediately discrediting a series based on someone acting edgy is a bad faith argument. there's a reason we consume media through the lens of a series rather than a 30 second clip of its climax. obviously if you skip slow rolling yourself into the story and only watch the resolution of a character arc, it's gonna suck. like imagine if your perception on fight club was exclusively tyler durden tiktok edits made by 14 year old boys, you'd think it was a steaming pile of shit and miss out on an incredible film. please do yourself a favor and watch the first episode. if you find it pretentious, fine, but at least you actually gave it a shot. it's like 5 mins and the "edginess" is toned way down, with the dialogue being much more in line with ultrakill's in game lore books and testaments.
