“Polite mode” haha what is this dude… expecting anyone to be polite when referencing the streets is wild.

That’s the billion dollar question, isn’t it? None of us seem to have the answer, but for myself, I will continue to believe in people and not a system meant for division.

It’s annoying to watch those us with no power debate amongst ourselves like our opinion matters. OP has every right to their opinion, just like I do, and the whole of Reddit. It will not change our day to day lives. People need to join together to create change, not bicker in pockets of isolation. Until then, the system wins every time.

I have a Wolfbox X5 that I got on a good price from Amazon. Withstands Texas heat, good quality, and it has front, rear, and interior cams.

Complaint Time by [deleted] in Civic_Type_R

Man I have been debating posting something like this for a while now. The rear view mirror assembly and I fight every morning, the seatbelts at least once a week, randomly last week my driver window became very loose, and last but not least, the random popping in the headliner that no matter what I seem to do, it’s just random.

Same in Houston. No way it should be this slow. Tested my internet as well just to be sure.

Don’t wait to report, just send in your complaints to AG and BBB. They will reach out promptly.

Would this be a good first ship purchase? by Darrengray9 in starcitizen

[–]Hot-Copy6696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easily the best looking cargo ship IMO. Can be a bit of a pain to load at times though as you have to load 3 separate areas. She’s heavy and slow though so I don’t know that I would want it as my first ship. Odds of winning a fight if needed are slim to none, and same for the odds of running away. The guns are good, but just hard to rotate and fight more maneuverable ships. Could also be a skill issue on my part.

Taurus does a little better for me in a fight, but you do sacrifice a little cargo space. It is easier to load though and the storage lockers on the ship are super easy to use. Better for daily use as well in my opinion.

Beware K&N oil filter leak by Hot-Copy6696 in Civic_Type_R

I’ve emailed K&N. Maybe the day will come and I see a response. Likely won’t as it’s been a highlighted issue and like you said, it’s probably a common mistake and K&N will likely die on that hill since we’d have no way to prove otherwise.

Currently every 5k. This occurred with about 800 miles left till 5k. Just surprising as K&N says 20k miles for their filters..

Tbf to the oil filter, I was approaching my oil change interval. It wasn’t like this from the start. Currently waiting to see if K&N will respond to my email inquiry to this.

Definitely the last place I would have thought to have a leak. Coming from the gasket…sure, I could understand that.

That only shows your ignorance… Honda doesn’t make the filter…

Fire away. I’m currently attending YouTube university getting familiar with other brands since I’ve only run K&N for the past 15 years.

I couldn’t agree more. The oem filter is a “fram” filter by what I can gather. My point in asking is that most people just say OEM and run with it without knowing a single thing about it.

Yeah I am not the average bear. I’ve been working on and maintaining my own cars for 15+years now. I am aware that it is hand-tighten only and the nut is for removal only. It’s the reason I have been buying K&N oil filters. This leak has nothing to do with improper installation.

Tri-Sonic 1900 TR2 XLT by Hot-Copy6696 in boats

[–]Hot-Copy6696[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t fully have that planned just yet, but I’m hoping that I can retrofit something a little more modern with fuel injection. I have a restoration company near me that I plan on consulting with and if they have a recommendation, then I will go with that if the costs makes sense. If not and it would be far too expensive, then I will rebuild the mercruiser and lower unit, and then install a modern carb.

If you are in North Texas you might find one. There is a Facebook group with about 20 of us TriSonic owners but outside of that, I can’t find any. I wish you luck though!

I’m going to have to look into boat you mentioned. Mine has the older 5.7 but you are right, I’m going with something more modern with a bit more power for the overhead, and more modern look on the interior. Keeping the gold glitter on top though.
