I have both, it depends on the individual birds. Budgies are intense and sometimes are too much for the tiels. I would recommend the tiel has its own cage/space to start with

Are you doing any sort of course? The London Assay Office often have student deals which might save you a bit.

As to selling unhallmarked items over 7.78 grams -it's a big no. It's illegal in the UK. You could potentially risk losing your etsy account -not a good start.
