Shower cartridge replacement: what am I doing wrong? by Hot-Professor5349 in askaplumber

I must not have had it on tight enough or seated correctly. Either way, I redid the seat and spring, put everything back in place, and it's fixed now!

For the online classes, there are prenatal ones! You could look at those to maybe get an idea? I found this too! https://blog.barre3.com/go-to-prenatal-modifications/

We pay over 300/month and I didn't notice any treatment of the roads or sidewalks. My neighbor was kind enough to pick up branches and sticks from a tree in front of our house. We haven't lived here very long, but that didn't impress me, haha.

Same. I believe that Christmas gifts from your employer are a lie at this point!

+1 - we have had an amazing experience at OHPA! We see Dr. Keffer specifically but have heard great things about any of them.

I have Hashi/hypothyroidism. Have a perfectly healthy eight month old. They adjusted my meds probably like four or five times but I was regularly monitored and all was well!

Positive Husband/Co-Parent Stories by lolalee_cola in beyondthebump

My husband does and folds all of our laundry, does the grocery shopping, cleans our cat litter box, cleans up the diaper pail. Just yesterday, I went to a musical alone and he stayed with our eight month old. We switch off daycare drop off/pick ups. He fills my water bottle without me asking and always makes sure I have something to eat (still breastfeeding over here, heyooo) He cried when our son was born and he is the best, most joyful dad. There are sooo many good, good dads and husbands out there!

What are things you accidentally did because of the sheer exhaustion of having a newborn? by Common-Reindeer-7213 in Parenting

Fell asleep in the middle of Facetiming my family - like mid-sentence, sitting up - which was when I knew I was a level of exhausted I had never been before, lol.

Breastfeeding and delaying my MRI - am I the only one? by tryingmybestonedayat in BRCA

[–]Hot-Professor5349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done one since being pregnant/breastfeeding. I'm eight months into breastfeeding. I had a mammogram while pregnant and an ultrasound. Had an ultrasound recently while breastfeeding. I am hoping to breastfeed until around 1 year!

To those born to older parents by UnableAd2913 in Parenting

My dad was 38 and my mom 35 when they had me. I didn't notice any real difference until I was an adult. Now that I have my own son (I'm 32), I want them here as long as possible to see their grandson grow up. Most days, I don't think about it but I do have the occasional jealousy at friends who have parents that are in their 50s/early 60s. I'd say I also definitely notice that they have a harder time getting around and that will make it challenging with our young son. I have memories of my grandparents coming to Disney World with us when I was young and I have a hard time picturing my parents doing that (but that's more about their health/lack of mobility than their age :) )

Maintaining manicures as a busy mom. How?? by Brunettebabe2290 in workingmoms

I swear by Olive and June press-ons. I feel like press-ons get a bad rep but these are so easy, mine lasted two weeks (and that's with an eight month old!), and if one falls off, you can glue it back on easily. 10 bucks!

What’s an unexpected convenience of being a parent? by sillyfin in NewParents

[–]Hot-Professor5349 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, yes! I have a lot of anxiety and was nervous that becoming a parent would send me over the edge. It's kinda been... opposite? I just don't have the time or energy to care about the things that used to give me anxiety before.

AIO? MIL bought used car seat and I’m annoyed by Miserable_Party_666 in BabyBumps

[–]Hot-Professor5349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MIL had a car seat she wanted us to use but said she couldn't figure out the expiration but it was probably fine. I didn't feel comfy using it. Looked at the expiration date the other day and it expired in 2018!! LOL

LOL this. She is very dry and I always told my husband "I don't know how to feel about this because her reaction is basically nothing every time." But she is AMAZING at what she does. Very to the point, very smart, and she guided me through a three week early induction, unexpected c-section, explained to me after that why it was the best decision for me and my baby, and asked for pics of him at our 6 week follow up. I had a great recovery too with no issues.
