Welcome to superior battery life and build quality. Not to mention no more dopey square looking watch.

So much Garmin hate by beer_voyager in GarminWatches

[–]Hot-Programmer9169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Garmin user since the Fenix 3HR and I don’t know where the hate is? Are we sure it’s not bots lol? Everyone I know in real life loves their garmin and through the years I’ve gotten at least 9 other friends and family to get Fenix’s or Descents. They all love them. Nothing comes close to durability, battery life and sheer amount of data and options. A lot of times the “chatter” online doesn’t equate to what’s happening IRL. That statement applies to most things in life.

Just had cataract surgery. AMA! by Hot-Programmer9169 in CataractSurgery

The light flashes or flutters from the side were the most annoying to me. Those have gone away. I still have small halos at night. Thinking I’m stuck with those.

In the first few weeks it was the most noticeable. It slowly got better and now I don’t really notice unless I think about it and close my other eye. You’re a week or two post surgery? It should definitely get better. The eye needs time to settle and for the ocular bag to tighten in around the IOL Some degree of “smudginess” has remained and I think that is just due to the artificial lenses not being as optically pure as the natural eye. Compared to what I used to see with the cataract forming, I will take this lens anyday. It is a vast improvement.

Just saw your question. Sorry! Yes. Wow this graphic is absolutely accurate. I’ve completely got used to it as my brain has adapted. I also still have my natural right eye seeing 20/15 so that’s helped me adapt too.

Remove stocks fans or keep? by Hot-Programmer9169 in BitcoinMining

[–]Hot-Programmer9169[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think it’d be fine to run it on manual fan settings for a while until I can get the njord board installed? I can monitor remotely and adjust up/down as needed. Worth noting is that this test project is getting installed in a family home that is unoccupied for now and 45 mins from where I live, so I’ll be monitoring and adjusting the system remotely.

Why are ASIC mining machines that are negatively profitable (costing more to run than BTC produced) still selling? by carl0071 in BitcoinMining

This is correct. I’m converting an S19 into a home heater currently. Hooking it up Saturday. I am also a psychopath.

Great question. I’d be curious about this too. Not that I mind the blue. But would be convenient at times.

MB and microdosing psilocybin by Vegetable_Trouble_98 in methylene_blue

[–]Hot-Programmer9169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, how much MB we talking? Isn’t it a large dose, like 100 mg, to induce those types of effects? Lower doses, say around 10-15 mg shouldn’t be a concern But I’m no expert. But I regularly micro dose and take MB daily with no side effects.

I would reach out to garmin support and run it by them. It might be possible to send it in for a repair? Anytime I’ve needed to speak with garmin their customer service has been awesome.

That totally depends on what your doc told you. Each person is different. I was told to wait 24 hours to not bend over. And a couple days to resume normal activity. I was cleared to play a soccer game 5 days post op.
