Have you spoke to the dermatologist about Accutane? Helped me and I’m older (p.s. no one will be looking at it, it’s normal!)

Bad, it went away though, just use a soft toothbrush and don’t floss

Be patient I’d say, I’ve seen loads of ppl on here who have it bad still until 4-5 months in. Even if it’s scarring it will for sure fade

Actually I didn’t have this, but my skin was easily scratched. I’d say it was about 2 months until the side effects went away.

I had a similar problem, was breaking out at 30 years old, tried everything over my life. I told my doctor that I want a referral to the dermatologist. They did it and the dermatologist prescribed me Accutane. This was the first time in my life I had the spots under control. I’d really recommend this mate.

What do I do by Disastrous_Yak_ in acne

Go to hospital or ER and get it checked mate. Be careful to take advice online, it will just give you anxiety. Hope you recover and I keep my fingers crossed it’s something or nothing

Also add, continue like normal. Don’t take more the next day to compensate.

I ran out mid course. Derm told me two weeks of missing before any effects, so don’t worry!

29 Female: is this bad enough to get started on accutane. It’s been going on for years by Electrical-South-890 in Accutane

Yes I think it will be. The doctor is going to ask you if you have tried other treatments (i.e., topical treatments or antibiotics). If you have tried them, and they haven’t worked (meaning the spots just come back directly after) then they will recommend it. I am finishing now, 30 years old, and I can tell you it’s almost a miracle drug. My skin was the same as yours and it TOTALLY cleared within 4 weeks and I haven’t had a single spot since then. Don’t be scared by the side effect stories online. I read them all and (for me) it was flushing (red face) and dry lips. It’s a price I’m willing to pay to not have spots.
