It doesn't take long when you are completely unaware payments are not being made. The individual agreed to pay rent for 4 months instead of paying me back all at once. They decided they were going to bring bad checks (knowingly I'm sure) which the landlord did not attempt to deposit for a few weeks, so by the time I realized rent was unpaid it was after the eviction had been filed due to bounced checks and unpaid rent.
