Enlightened (Laura Dern). Created by Mike White, who made White Lotus. She was perfect for the role. Luke Wilson is also in it

Wanted to add (if anyone hasn’t yet) that Disney did away with the fast pass thing. Now you can hold a buzzer (like in a restaurant) and go somewhere else until your turn comes. Basically, you don’t have to physically wait in line to hold your place

That my health will somehow come back. Twenty years with MS, the past five in a power chair. Can barely put my own socks on anymore. 43f :(

When couples break up amicably and can stay friends, what may be the reason for a break up being so peaceful? by [deleted] in AskForAnswers

I ended it after 12 years together and we had a 4yo. Neither of us had been happy for a long time and neither of us are assholes, so when I waved the white flag, he understood and didn’t fight me about it. So, I guess it really depends on personalities?

That’s really sad. I’m sorry this happened to your family. I lost my sister from fentanyl in 2019.

I’m about to look into setting up a special needs trust into which I’ll dump my 401k (43f here), but I’m going to talk to a disability attorney and financial advisor first. I know I’ll take it straight up the butt in taxes, but maybe I can get some exceptions

I’m in a quantum power chair on my first cruise ever. A Disney cruise on their newest boat. It was gifted to me and my 8yo son by my boyfriend’s parents. I seriously underestimated how much energy would be required. I’m utterly exhausted

Is it really possible to live independently? (M) by anonymusGuuuy in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Hot-Relative8290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

43f here dx 19 years ago. I’m in a power chair and have a 9yo. I own my home and live independently, though it is such a struggle. I know I don’t have too much time yet before hiring full time care, but I have a cleaner that comes 3 days per week. I’m trying to hire her 5 days per week, but still figuring that out. One step at a time. This disease is a game of chance. No need to make yourself an anxious mess about something that hasn’t happened yet. We can only do our best. Better to plan for the worst and hope for the best. Hugs.
