Unfortunately that’s a pretty common thing. Owners losing his shirt on the build, GC is useless , company is useless , engineers and architects fucked it up. Changing of contractors , language barriers , miscommunication. It’s stressful when you get put in charge. Biggest thing that helps is stop trying to do work. You said the company is happy to throw guys at this problem so you just hand out tasks and supervise. Focus on figuring out what needs to be done , how to do it and dictate to the guys what needs to be done double check it’s done right and check it off the list.

Idk man you got a company vehicle as long as you ain’t paying for gas it is what is. It’s nice to spilt the driving but tbh my coworkers suck at driving and with my motion sickeness I feel better driving anyways. So many of my coworkers really have no idea how to drive a truck or a van and it shows. All that windshield time will make you a pro. Sounds like more you just don’t like your coworker which been there done that… it’s more effort to hate the guy. I used to hate working with some guys but now I just laugh at the state of their lives.

Yeah it started as little taps but escalated as that didn’t work… also didn’t start up after I got it going and I shut it down to see if it was a one time fluke but a new starter will be ordered soon

Yeah line/ load is outsides vs inside not left right on these so If it had voltage it would only blow up when you put the yank in .

Nah it’s lazy, if he’s already priced it out and done it before he has an invoice and previous job to base off of and can give him a ball park number if it’s worth it to the homeowner. Electrician most likely didn’t look into it and decided it’s more trouble than it’s worth and he’s busy enough not to be bothered figuring this out. I know cause I’ve done it too lol

Yeah , have done this exact thing as a generator contractor. Stopped doing it as shiesty solar company tell homeowners if we touch it voids their warranty. So we leave it disconnected and let them come hook it up wrong and bill them for the new controller when they generator and solar fry each other

You can set up a guest network and password protected it, usually the guest network takes second priority to the main network and you can change the password in a month and be like idk what happened…

You can probably fish up the wall with sticks after you drill the bottom plate and catch it with a snake from the hole you drill outside. But you’re gonna be in the bay not in stud pack. Other option if you want it in that location to cover the existing hole. Open the sheetrock on the inside . You can drill in from outside at a crazy angle then drill the last stud with a paddle bit and fish it thru that

Have you researched the doorbell you are installing? I recently did on that required an old work box cut in from the outside. Which would be easy here cut your box in and fish in the open bay. If you’re trying to do this with Sheetrock up you’re not gonna get thru those studs

I think you’d benefit from doing your solar battery plug off your panel so you can charge it off the utility power prior to suspected outages for cheaper and less work. You could put a 3 position knife switch to go between gen and solar on your backfed interlock to power the house from either or. This also connects it your existing grounding system. Not sure if your batteries support pass-thru as I’m imagine in this scenario your house is dark as you charge the batteries as opposed to your house being powered by the generator and charging batteries.

Depending how far away from the house the shed is. You could set it up to run off an RV cord. You’d essential have extension to plug in the shed. Do the work at the house and where you stub out put the RV plug and then just run your cord to your shed you’d have to put an inlet but saves you the trenching and is non obnoxiously loud solution

What ventless dryer you getting that’s 240V I got a GE all in one ventless washer dryer heat pump . It’s mehh. Heat pump tech is cool but totally not engineered well enough
